Excellent value
Greens are in amazing condition. Links layout with three holes on rivers edge. Fescue grass, wind and drainage ditches can create a challenge to a level layout.
Very reasonable green fees. Restaurant patio has nice river views.
Members Only!!!
This course does not care about public players trying to enjoy a round of golf!!
The members who played behind my group were horribly rude! They would hit their balls at us, and yell/swear at us to move while another group was on the green. We called and complained and the directing manager of the course came and told the members to ignore us to go past us without asking us, then instructing us to wait and made it sound like it was our fault. We complained even more and tried to get a refund for our experience but only received a free green fee which I will never use.
At the end of the game, the members who we complained about threatened and harassed us, worst thing is he was an employee, drunk and he drove himself home after he threatened us to never return to the course again.
We should’ve filed a police report on these individuals, we feared for our lives!
Customer service
First time here, we were an hour early, there was know one on the course. We asked if we could go early, the older lady at pro shop said only if we paid the full $102. She said all golfnow players must play as scheduled. So we went to get some lunch, after we ordered, she came to our table and told us the other twosome was here and we could now tee off. We told her, we had just ordered lunch, her reply was.....well you better be done by 1:07 because the the tee time you booked. We told her to tell the other couple to go ahead, she said no, they can wait till you are done lunch. I could have understood if the course was busy....but there was Know One!! She kept reminding us that when you book cheap discount golf, you have to stick to the schedule. Well, because of her attitude, she set the pace for a very disrupted game of golf. We will never be back, even if the game was free! Whitetail, here we come!!
very nice and scenic on the St Lawrence River.
This is a very nice course to place. It has some good challenges but overall will give it a moderate difficult course. Very well treated there . Would recommend this course to anyone who would like a nice enjoyable round of golf
Uncooperative lady in pro shop
I enjoy playing at Iroquois even though it is 30 miles from my home.
But found pro shop lady intransigent in insisting that I wait 30 minutes for other "golfnow" persons - even though only one two-some went off the 1st tee in
those 30 minutes (approx. 12:35pm) .
Even when a second individual showed up we had to wait another 10 minutes for the final pair.
Turned out the third person of the foursome was a learner; but she did hit from her husband's ball at times.
A flat pack
The main appealing point of this course are the holes bordering the St. Lawrence River which make for a nice scenic outlook on their edges. You can't get a course much flatter than this, very suitable to walking.
good price
The price was good. Greens and fairways a bit rough but we were not playing the ritz
The course is a bit boring but had some unexpected challenges like ditches or hidden sand traps.
This course must be better durning summer months
It is the end of golf season so course was not at par first rough long so hard to find ball, but had a great day all the same and enjoyed course would play here again.
Some pretty water front holes
Played here a few time and have found many golfers here don't like to jion or ask you to jion in with them a I once again was supposed to be playing with others on GolfNow and yet again they take off much earlier then tee times..anyway the course was in better shape then last and greens were great quick and true...Fairways are park like grass not carpet but for the price you get what you pay for. its a links type coure with a few hole along the St. Lawrence river that are scenic..a great course to work on your game..forgiving fairways..new and added to bunkers as well
wide open
wide open links style, with lots of wind coming off the water
links style course
three nice holes by the water
good greens except #9
would have been good if desk ladies were nicer.
nice layout
The course was nice and level, and signs indicating the next hole were helpful. Staff also gave us some info on the some of the holes.
Friendly Staff, Fun Course
The course was in great shape, with excellent greens. We were 2 players on a cart, and played in less than 2.5 hours on a Monday morning! Excellent value for our money, and we'll be back.
GREAT SCENIC COURSE
It is always a pleasure to golf at Iroquois. Recommend it to anyone.
Course is right along the river.
Wide open, picturesque, pin placement was challenging.
Not a great course.
This course was very ordinary. All open, you can hit the next fairway and still be OK. The rough was not well maintained, bring a lot of balls if you play there because you loose them in the rough and even in the fairways. It's a good course for beginners maybe.
very nice course
really enjoy playing at Iroquois, long open fairways. scenery is great also beginning on the St. Lawrence river watching the big ships go by...
The only problem was when we went in to get snack in the clubhouse after 9 were told the clubhouse was closed for a private function .. they did give us a chip and drink because we didn't see the posted sign....
Lovely setting
Being beside the mighty St Lawrence adds to the ambiance of this course. We thoroughly enjoyed our day, which was weather perfect.
