Great course conditions
Played the 18 holes within 4 hrs in the afternoon...
The whole course is in great conditions presently
Rain didn't spoil the day
Even though it rained for roughly five holes, the enjoyment of playing this course was a better distraction.
Impressed!
First time playing the course and was very impressed. Conditions were excellent and pace of play was great! Many challenges throughout, but very playable even for beginners. Stayed after for drinks and food on patio and service, food and value were great. We will definitely be back.
Perfect conditions
Loch March was excellent - from tees to greeens. Great shape, friendly staff, nice range and putting green. Golf Now experience and proshope - all excellent.
The course pro NOT very professional!
Loch March is a beautiful track. Challenging but fair. Normally I enjoy playing there but my round on July 20, 2016 turned me off the course forever. I had booked a round for myself and two friends including carts through GolfNow. At the first tee the starter added a single in a cart to our group. It should be noted that the single had a different tee time. At the second tee a Marshall asked if we would allow the single to join our third player in his cart as the "pro" didn't want three carts for four players. We replied we would prefer not to do so as we had all paid for a tee time and cart and in fact the single had booked for a different tee time. The marshal agreed and wished us a good round. After we teed-off at ten the pro approached our group and loudly critized us for not cooperating with her "rule" that a group cannot have more than two carts per hole. Her voice was loud and overheard by several other golfers one of whom became verbally belligerent with the single member of our foursome. This led to heated words and upset all of us to the point that it directly affected the remainder of our round. In fact it completely ruined not only the rest of the game but the whole outing. If the pro had an issue it was with her staff not us. Her decision to publicly criticize us was rude and extremely unprofessional. Paying guests should never be subjected to verbal abuse especially when they have done nothing wrong.
Bery good condition
Fun course to play. Lots of tee boxes to choose from. Suitable for all levels of play. Some really challenging holes and some easier ones. Hard course but fun if going from the right tee boxes.
very nice course
would play there everyday if I could wery nice fairway good speed on the greens need every club in the bag
bring extra balls could have beer cart on course after
4pm
9 Plus 9 And Dine
An absolutely excellent time despite the rain on #2 and #3. This is an immaculate course. We played 9 holes and then had their Friday 9 and Dine with a group of 18 friends. They also have a 9 & Dine on Sundays. What an outstanding time from our arrival to our departure after our 'Dine'. You would be very hard pressed to get simply the 3 course gourmet meal that was served to us for the price we paid for the 9 holes of golf + cart and the meal. What a bargain. If you are looking for a top notch golf course with conditions equivalent to or better than most local private courses, go to Loch March. If you are looking for a place for and reunion, anniversary, business group our just a number of your friends to gather, look no farther than Loch March. The GM is most accommodating to your whims, and they will even set up contests for you. All of my 18 compatriots raved about the total experience, and will return.
Perfect conditions
Perfect course conditions and was empty for some reason on a beautiful day
AMAZING
played a lot of courses this year - was always too intimidated to play here until last week , was blown away by how friendly the staff were and the course itself was fantactic - great condition ,well laid out and extremely well maintained!!
A Beautiful Course
Fall colours were just starting and so the surrounding scenery was awesome. Its a bit hilly in spots and so a cart is an asset to get through it comfortably. It has a great mix of left right and long holes. Greens were fast and challenging but not stupid. Just the right mix of water, tall grass and trees to require accurate shots. Not a beginner's course because you have to get over some water holes and certainly I appreciate the fact that there were four different tee boxes. The parking lot is a bit distant from the clubhouse, even with a shuttle. The beers were a little expensive. There were a some greens where divots were not healing well and I though that the sand was poor - seemed to have more clay content than I would expect and so I wonder how it would be in the rain. So with these negatives, I would not normally pay their regular rates but at the discount rate, this course is great value and given that so few people were there yesterday on such a beautiful day - it was golf heaven. Enjoy!
Great Course
Beautiful well groomed course. We were held up by some groups in front of us and the Marshalls weren't around very often.
Very beautiful and usually in good shape
A very pretty golf course with lots of good holes. the par fours and fives are fairly short (except 12) from the whites. It is a good walk with some steep hills but it is very playable.
The greens are moderate to fast and in excellent condition. The day we played the fairways were wet and a bit soft, so trapping the ball was a bit challenging. Good condition however. The roughs around the greens are thick and off the main fairways watch out for rocks ,bushes and boulders. These lies are unplayable many times.
Water holes (par 3's) are a challenge so know your yardage.
Excellent service and staff are very good Nice lounge/eating area. (nice patio) and prices and selection of beers are competitive.
This course can be full of bugs (mosquitoes) earlier in the year so bring your bug repellant.
Loved it
Had planned a weekend to Ottawa for football game and round at The Marshes (also in Kanata) then saw a last minute deal at Golf Now for this course I hadn't played in years. So glad we did because it was the highlight of the trip. My wife and I were glad they didn't force us to join up with either twosome ahead or behind us which was very much appreciated. The Marshes recommended the middle blue tees but I probably should have played the golds but it really didn't take away from the round. Greens were aerated which we were warned about and nothing you can do there but all other conditions were great! Very interesting tee shots with dangerous landing areas and it made you think. If you can turn the ball left and right you will be rewarded with shorter approaches but straight shots or alight fades aren't punish you if you are smart. Round was quick for a summer Sunday morning (less than 4 hrs) and lunch on the patio after was excellent. We are definitely coming back!
Nice track. Very friendly service.
We booked this time through GolfNow. We were disappointed when we arrived to find out they had aerated the greens the day before and were top dressing them that day. However, we still enjoyed the course layout and the above average service we received from everyone from the bag drop t the beverage cart. If we return to this area we would play this course again.
Check conditions before booking
Course was recently aerated but it was advertised. Marshal let people playing 9 holes in front of golfers playing 18 on the back nine. Twenty minute wait between holes. Issues wa brought up to the club house, no one seems to care.
Great Public course!!!
The course is in great shape! Greens roll smooth and true. Fairways cut nicely. Rough penalizes you but doesnt end your chances to salvage your hole. Tee boxes are in good shape (except 2 of then on the back nine are beat up) Bunkers could use more sand but otherwise the course does NOT resemble a public course. From the time you drive up and get greeted by the clubhouse shuttle, you will feel you are at a privatw facility. Not overly impressed with the courtesy of pro shop and resturant, that reminded me where i was at. But the Matshall, ground keepers (which are everyone maintaining seemingly every hole, impressive!!!) and bag boys were all pleasant and helpful. The course doesnt play long but is challenging. Off tee must shape your ball and play positiona at times. Greens small so will test irons accuracy. Loved the course. A bit pricey for a public course but if you can get a "hot deal" rate or any discount, two words: MUST PLAY!
Great round
It was a beautiful day and the course was in great shape. Greens were excellent and matched the condition of the practice green. Friendly staff. Course was not busy. We played in 3 hours 45 minutes thanks to a foursome that let the two of us play through. Ninety degree cart rule was in effect on the day we were there. All in all a great day and would definitely recommend.
Amazing Conditions
Never disappointed playing at Loch March. Green complexes are always in amazing condition as are the fairways.
Staff is friendly and professional. You will not be disappointed playing here.
Great condition
No bugs yet! This course is normally unbearable mid-season with the Mosquitos.
Going to play there a lot before the bugs come. Best value $60 with cart.
