Fairways and Greens are the best in the area.
This course is 50 miles north of my cottage, but I prefer it to anything closer. Undulated greens, water, elevated tees: a very challenging course well worth the drive if you are in Bayfield or Goderich.
The course is in good shape considering this early golfing season. The fairways are well defined. The greens are smooth without bumps and groomed.
I will play again in this course and can say that this course is one of the best in Kincardine area. I would recommend this to my family and friends.
Diamond in the rough
Black Horse is a wonderfully challenging experience with many opportunities to score well. It offers many risk-reward shots and has just enough "trouble" to keep you honest. Considering where this course is located it is always in tip top shape and offers the player a great "bang for the buck". I would recommend playing this course to anyone in the area wether they are just visiting or reside in the township.

GREAT COURSE, GREAT VALUE, COULDN'T BE HAPPIER
When I drove in to the bag drop I wasn't sure what to expect looking at the Club House and Banquet facility. I later learned that you don't go there to play the clubhouse, you go to play an amazing course. The condition was excellent. The greens were fast, soft and very receptive on almost all ball flights.
This course is truly the real deal.
If you're looking for a diamond in the ruff, you don't need to look much further then here. One of the best public courses I have ever been to.
