Good time
Played as a twosome & hooked up with Colin and Louie from.T.O
Good time ... course is in good shape ... friendly ladies in Pro Shop and the lady was really nice serving us our sausage !!
Great Coarse
Played this coarse many years ago.
Just went back and loved it.
Coarse was in great shape considering the dry weather.
Thank you for not COVID proofing the carts with plastic dividers.
For that reason alone I’ll be back.
nice day to golf
Course is in excellent condition.
Staff very friendly.
Great day and it did not rain!!
Pace of play
The pace was very fast, the group behind us were very good players and they kept hitting near us and we were always pushing the group in front of us.
The staff were all very courteous and helpful.
fair course, poor value
this is the only course that capitalizes on profiting from covid conditions. they charge 20$ per person whether you share a cart or not. my group should have all taken individual carts so the course was out of carts by 10am. the course was in good condition despite being so dry-however not worth the money and the staff were rude when questioned on the overcharge for carts.
Course is in very good shape. Took just over 4hrs but overall not bad. First time playing this course and I was really enjoyed myself. Will definitely play again.
First time player
This course is well laid out. The front nine is very forgiving with wide open tee shots. There is a nice mix of long and short par 4’s. The back nine is a little less forgiving with narrower tee shots and a premium on course management. The course was very dry and the sand traps did not appear to have been groomed at all. The greens are great with varying sizes and tiers. (Although they too were very dry, but roll true). The price was on the high side ($80 with a cart) given a simple clubhouse environment and a lack of perks such as GPS, a lone beverage cart that was only seen once during the round ( which happened to be at the turn ) And simple practice facilities. All in all I would recommend this course to anyone within a reasonable driving distance and can accept an elevated green fee dependant on what is available at the time. Lastly the course staff were all very friendly and professional which made this round a pleasant experience.
Enjoyed it
The course is in good condition where it needs to be. Played the whites since first time playing. Got an eagle and couple birdies. Too bad NBC / golfpass is such a pathetic company. Never buy anything from them again. However will be back to the course with friends (NOT booking on golf now)
To be clear. COURSE IS AWESOME. golfnow sucks. Hopefully they get a solution and remove themselves away from golfnow.
Olivers Nest
The course is in very good shape rough is not to deep and the greens roll very good and are not to fast
Decent course, ;needs some tweaking
This is the first time I've played this course with the new ownership. I could see work being done (improvements/enhancements).
The course is in good shape, my only issue is that it lacks fairway markers; blue, white and red stakes in the middle of fairways would be nice.
Bad staff
Booked a tee time for 440 on Monday. I live in Ajax so this course took an hour drive to get to. Had a great time on the course, and played quite well. It was just me and my buddy playing as a group of two with a group of 4 (2 guys and their girlfriends) playing ahead of us. They told us we could tee off first as we would be a little bit quicker. Through 18 holes there was only one time we had to wait to tee off for the group in front. We finished 18 holes by 855pm and were treated terribly when we arrived at the club house. The assumed manager began talking down to us, telling us we were back to late. Then proceeded to tell us that several people on the course had complaints about us “flying around the course”. I was very displeased as me and my friend had a very calm round and didn’t see anyone on the course except for the people who were two holes behind us and people who were about 2 holes ahead of us. It was funny to us that before finishing we were telling each other the course was well marshalled and we didn’t have to wait for anyone while playing. And then to be falsely called out infront of people was completely unprofessional. Overall course was well maintained but the treatment we received after paying 50$ and driving over an hour was not worth it. I hope someone has a word with this worker and this doesn’t happen to someone else
