Great greens!
I have played Cross Timbers many, many times and it is still as enjoyable as ever. The new greens are consistant and quick. Winter conditions, but still very fun and a good challenge!
Hill country like and feel.
Cource is a good mix of risk reward. Very good set-up for all skills and plays good for women.
Course was nice, challenging, friendly, and well kept for February
I would play here again. I appreciate it when you play with a member of the course who shows you respect.
Good deal for under 20$
Greens were super fast, tee boxes were ok, bunkers were nicely raked for the most part, fairways were nice as well...not crowded at all.
Wide fairways and fast greens, no water hazards, but plenty of tree linned fairways.

Course needs help
Finding grass at this course is hard to do. Most fairway shots will be hit off dirt or rocks. The greens were about the hardest I've played on this year. If you like gunfire while your playing this course is for you because their's a gun range nearby. $20 for a Sunday was still pricey for such a rough course and zero clubhouse courtesy.
Well....
PROS:
Super friendly staff and cart girl came around several times.
Greens in good shape.
CONS:
Running out of carts is never a good start.
Fairways in poor shape
Teeboxes have millions of tees
Pretty slow play IMO
Course in great shape
I will play here again. It was very nice, scenery beautiful, greens were in great shape, as the fairway. very nice.
Lot's Of Variety
The routing at Cross Timbers yields a good variety of interesting golf holes - two of the first 3 require forced carries off the tee.
The course does get a little tedious up on top of the main plateau with a bunch of straight, parallel holes - even there you better keep it in the fairway as there plenty of trees and rough outside the sight lines.
The par 3's each go in a different direction - two of them are over 200 yards from the tips. #9 is a wonderful little hole right up against the hillside.
The fairways are closely mowed and the greens are fast.
Take a minute and look at the view from the little picnic area in back of the #10 tee box.
#16,17 and 18 are 3 good finishing holes - especially 17 driving out of the chute.
A fun place to spend a day of golf.
very fair and rewards great shots
would recommend this course be played by everyone. greens are in super condition and very fast, fairways fair in in places narrow. this course makes you use all the clubs in the bag
On a scale of 1-10 I'd give it a 3-4 for metroplex courses.
The fairways are sparse. The greens hold but are hard and fast. The rough is dirt and rock.
awesome for the price
usually get avery good price and the course is in great shape.. not a super hard course but not a super easy course either... has very nice scenery... i like the course so much i usually play it 3 to 4 times a month
Truly a hidden gem!
If you get a chance, go play this little hidden gem. It's got some great holes, tough but fair and what a great value. We play during the week and seem to always have about a 3-1/2 hour round.
Good value
Cross Timbers is greatly improved. I had quit playing there a number of years ago because of the condition of the greens. Went back this summer and was pleasantly surprised by the course conditions. Liked it well enough to go back two more times. Friendly personnel and brisk pace of play on week days make for a good golfing experience.
Beautiful day and a great 18
Little windy but good day to go out and kick my buddies butt for it was his first time on Cross Timbers; my third.
Great course with beautiful views and elevations
This course is in amazing condition and the staff is super friendly.
