We all hated your golf carts and the pace of play. We Had a 5 hour round which is terrible.
Nowhere near good value.
Twilight Round
Played a twilight round on Oct. 6/23. Twilight rate starts at 5:00 pm, but they let us on early at about 4:15 pm, so we were able to get 13 holes in. Nobody in front of our twosome and nobody behind. Was like playing on our own private course!! The course was in great shape overall but I was surprised at how slow the greens were. Mind you it had rained overnight and earlier in the day, but I golfed there a week before this when there was no rain and the greens were slower than I expected that day as well. They were soft too which made it like a dart board for approach shots. These were my first two rounds ever at AG and I liked it enough to put my name in for a membership next summer.
Greens don't roll
Nice course all in all. Tad pricey for what you get. Greens look nice and manicured, but do not roll in they way they should for a course of this caliber. I was very disappointed in the greens. Never seen a course of that stature have such slow rolling greens.
This is the course that you want to play
Second time playing there during my visit at Toronto. Beautiful course with great layout! We have a 8 am tee time and we got there a round 7:15 am playing at the range. It is also included in the green fee.
Becoming Less Desirable
For CAD$175 on a Monday morning, you would expect far less divots scattered across the fairways. You would also expect far less ball marks on the greens - I fixed an average of 2-3 ball marks per hole. Not something I want to be doing at a $175 course. I have played muni courses that were in better condition.
Muni Conditions for the Price of a Destination Course
5 hour round with no Marshall to speed up the group holding everyone up despite calls to the pro shop. Nearly every bunker un-raked. 3/4 of pitch marks not repaired on greens. Photographs well tho…
