Strange times with Covid19
Played first round of year yesterday. Restrictions on social distancing with single Rider cart criteria made for a strange feeling during round. Difficult to experience the social interaction you normally enjoy in playing golf with your friends. It felt like you were playing a round by yourself which I don't enjoy. Only good point was the round was very quick in the hot weather (3 1/2 hrs) as the tee times were spaced out so there was no waiting between shots. Also no chance to socialize after round as clubhouse was closed for any gathering. Outside patio with seats 6 feet apart might be a consideration for the course. All in all was great to get out for some exercise, other than taking the dog for a walk.
Nice Easy Tract
Great condition for May. Very easy course to play with flat terrain and wide fairways. Greens are not punishing if you're not always accurate. Well managed course with Covid 19 constraints. Other golfers on course were patient and friendly..
Awesome pace almost no wait staff great took me 2hr 20 min !!!!
Played Remington many times since discovering it 10 years ago good value for money always in excellent shape and staff are friendly
For a 36 hole course so close to the GTA it’s a real diamond in the rough
We moved our corporate golf tournament here last year with great success
The staff was well organized and friendly. The course was is pretty good shape. The greens were terrific. The sand traps need some work, and some of the tee boxes were as hard as rock.
Course in great shape and the price is excellent
Played late in the season and the course is still in great shape. Well maintained. We are lucky too as we picked a great day to play as the weather is fantastic. Not a lot of leaves on the ground.
Beautiful day for a game. Played with Sam and had a great game. Shot an 84 and enjoyed the day. Course was in good shape. At times, the pace was slow because the twosome in front waited till the players in front were on green. One of them thought he was better than he was and caused the delays. A Marshall would have been nice.
Course in top condition. Only complaint is so many, large, recent, ball marks.
Still in good shape
Fairways showed some brown patches but do not affect the overall play. Greens are in good condition and pace of play is acceptable. Some tee platforms are becoming harder and need improvement. A very friendly course and roughs were all trimmed down making ball easier to find and quicken the pace of play which is good to average players. Staff is very polite and friendly and is the reason for me to come back.
Good Value all round
My favourite course. Easy to get there, friendly staff, good beer.
Haven't played here in 35 years. Enjoyed the course.
My only gripe is they had some silly costume function/tournament tee off after us. One group decide to cut in front of us, and held us up for 20 minutes on one hole!
My suggestion is if you have a bunch of mostly younger golfers (playing dress up) and golfing, that the marshals should keep a better eye on all the players. I had to call the pro shop to have them send a marshal out to remove the obviously inebriated foursome from the wrong hole.
We were behind a tournament of over 20. Cannot pass anyone, people were in group of 5. Took over 3.5 hour for 9 holes with 2 people. Gave up and asked for a rain check and offered $20.....
Beginner course. Very forgiving. Straight. Few hazards other than hydro towers.
