Great course in midst of the city
Love Remington!! ⛳
Friendly staff makes you feel welcome too!
The valley course is interesting to play.A river runs through it and a pond runs along two holes. It has a variety of long and short holes. Two of the par 3s are over water. Three of the par 4s are up or down hill. Three holes are 90 degree dog legs (2 left, 1 right) tempting players to hit over trees. Greens are not fast; but the slope on several make them tricky to putt.
Layout of course is kind of odd. Multiple holes where you can't tell if the group ahead of you has cleared the fairway and/or the green due to a steep hill that you can't see past from the tee box. The electrical towers are placed in the rough to the sides of the fairways on some holes which didn't affect me until one dog leg left par 4 where my 2nd shot hit one of the cables from the towers mid-air...
They need better course maps and yardage indications for how far the dog legs are or how far away an area where the group ahead is no longer visible.
It was a fairly easy course - a few par 4s with drivable greens, two par 5s that have fairly easy eagle potential.
Overall it was a decent round for the price but it definitely would not be my first choice.
Is What It Is.
Played a round with a buddy on the valley course for about $35 each (thanks to this app). It's really close to where I live so that makes it a bit more appealing for me. I wouldn't drive more than 20 minutes to play this course.
We both shoot in the low 100s and found the course challenging. The elevation and lack of sight lines makes it a lot more difficult. Add to that the powerlines and occasional train rumbling through and it starts to feel less like a golf course and more like an obstacle course.
No beer cart was a let down but it wasn't busy so I don't know if that's the reason. Overall I'd only recommend this course to people nearby who are looking to hit shots they haven't had to before just to see if you can do it.
+ Variety of elevation and looks
+ Other golfers played fast around us
- Sight lines are bad and you can easily hit and be hit
- No food or beverages
- Not a very scenic course at all
Great value for money!
Play during the week when it’s not that busy and it’s hard to find a public GTA track that compares for the $
Played a twilight round. Beautiful course with lots of variances in each hole. Some doglegs are hard to estimate just by naked eye, gps with map will help a lot to enjoy the game in the next step. Some improvement required on power cart. Need to pump cart to work after hole 12. If replaced by more powerful electric cart, that would be great.
Long live this course!!!
Long wait to start but was a good day overall
Waited over an hour because they had a special going on so we didnt even finish but i emailed the staff and they gave us a courtesy round and the second time playing there they had a tornament during the day (thursday july 11) and there were kids driving all over the course but overall had a goid experience the second time around.
Great course, fair price, exceptional service. Rae and Eric are always awesome
