Pace was really slow. Course was busy though. Quit after 9 holes since it was so slow.
Something has changed for the worse
I have played this course multiple times over the last few years and for its lack of creativity in layout, it would make up for it in condition and amenities. I had heard there was an ownership change recently, so maybe it’s growing pains.
The staff was friendly, but the starter seemed to be doing about four other jobs and took a while to even find him.
The course layout is pretty back and forth with minimal elevation changes and lacks creativity.
The course condition is where something has changed drastically. Every bunker had either been filled in, was under repair, or was desert storm and hard as concrete. Fairways and greens were in good shape, but you could barely find a ball 5’ off the fairway because of all the fallout and leaves from the trees. All of the benches, bridges and cart paths were in need of major repair.
Enjoyable round overall, but money is better spent elsewhere.
On the whole the golf course was in good shape. The sand traps need some work. We finished 18 holes in 4 hrs. Had a good time. We will play here again
Missing only one thing
Great course and layout. Greens are in beautiful shape. My only knock on this course is that they don’t give any attention to their bunkers. Most are hard as a rock and you don’t even leave footprints when you are in them. Would be an absolute premium course if they were attended to.
This course is awesome. I'm so glad it's only minutes from me so i can play it whenever i have a chance.
Staff were great friendly and helpful. Course was fun to play and in great shape. Bunkers need more sand.
first time playing this course and won’t be my last. Staff was really friendly and east going, course was really great and challenging really enjoyed my round. My only criticism would be navigating hole to hole needs better pathways and signage.
course is changing
Brooklea was a manicured course a few years ago and now seem to be going downhill somewhat. Most of the traps need sand and a few were under construction. The fairways are not well maintained and the greens are true but soft and slow. The staff is friendly and accommodating and the course is acceptable, but just not as good as it was not too long ago.
Needs Lots Of Work And Attention
This course is on the decline and shows lack of pride of ownership and management. Lobby littered with empty boxes (garbage) was still there after a 5 hour round. Washrooms not clean, strong odor of urine and needed vacuuming. No beverage cart on the course on a busy weekend. A Starter who was too lazy to get off his chair to do his job of simply handing out cart keys or providing any insight. Followed a group of 5 right from the first tee, how is this allowed ...oh yea lazy Starter. This course is full of large sand traps however none where playable. Some show some signs of repair however this has been going on for 2 years and none have been repaired. Numerous neglected flower beds around the course full of weeds. Many areas around the course that could use a string or trimmer mower. Generally this course is looking really tired and poorly maintained. It has the potential but lacks an apparent concern of management. Lots of other course in the area at a better value.
challenging holes dirt bunkers
the course is in good shape except the bunkers have not been repaired after winter
Bunkers were none exsistant. Hard a a dried up mud hole
Fairwways werent cut and greens were super slow .poor shape for a course that charges so much
Challenging layout with several water hazards.
Very good condition all around considering it is so early in the season.......looking forward to playing it again.
