Fantastic Muskoka landscapes abound
This is my favourite cottage country course. The challenges are many, with blind tee shots, granite outcroppings and plenty of forced carries to test your course management skills. For a first-timer, the layout is deceiving and should be played with someone with course knowledge, otherwise you might get frustrated easily. Looking forward to another round during the height of the fall colours. The views are spectacular!!!!
top notch
Starting off with heavy downpours so the round was delayed by about an hour (apparently the other golfnow members cancelled). I drove about 40 min to get to the course and staff were excellent allowing us to play but stay on the PATH ONLY - better than cancelling and the course is so NICE (well maintained) that it would be a sin not to take care of it. Poured heavily for two holes so waited it out under some coverage. The ROCK does indeed 'rock'. Best course ever !!!
DO NOT BOOK THROUGH GOLF NOW
This course is beautiful and very challenging. I would highly recommend to anyone but DO NOT BOOK THROUGH GOLF NOW. We paid $180 for a "HOT DEAL" and when arriving at the course saw that we could have paid $69/person which included cart, bbq lunch and a one beer.
The course offers almost daily deals that are much better than the app offers.
True Muskoka Golf
This is a wonderfully scenic Muskoka course with granite outcropping and tree lined fairways! The course is in very good condition and the staff friendly and helpful!
You won’t regret playing this course!
Enjoy.
True Muskoka Course
A wonderful course in great condition that truly represents Muskoka golf. Don’t miss an opportunity to play this challenging course!
Great course, both challenging and fair. Definitely a must play!
Course Wow'd me.....conditions were excellent....course cut was like I've never seen. "So Sharp" beautiful course!
Make good shots or pay sir nick
Sir nick has make a nice track its fricken hard make good shots or pay the piper
Faldo's Folly
Very difficult course for mid to high handicap players. Terrific shape even with freshly punched greens. Well named and interesting design. It demands another play because now you know what to avoid and where to aim. Many carrys are just too long for the average player. Many greens are huge and create bug time 3 putt potential.
Rugged and challenging
The course is very picturesque and though fairways are wide enough, there isnt much forgiveness off them. Conditioning and greens were excellent. We played at 730am and there was no food available and didnt see the cart until 11 - also water on only 2 holes so come prepared. Overall, a must play in the area.
Terrible Beauty
Fantastic course but it beats you up if you’re not careful and a very good putter
A must play for any player that loves the game
A must, I doubt you'll find a more beautiful and challenging public course than this around. Every hole would be another courses signature hole for them.
Now for your warning, I'm an above average player (I think) high 70's to low 80's, this course was tough I was no where near those scores but I loved every minute of it. We played the golds and and every time we stepped on to the tee decks we were in awe of the layout. really makes you think about your game and works your concentration level. In immaculate shape an the greens are pretty slick, you have to have some touch around them.
The staff was amazingly friendly and always smiling and helpful. Which always help. I looked at the specials they have during the week and the prices are incredibly affordable for any golfer to experience this caliber course. So my advise is to pack a few extra balls, charge your phone (to take some amazing pics) and get out and play it. It's a no brainer. Good Luck
I typically play this course 3 to 5 times s year and although it can punish you the the layout and views are second to none. Greens are always fast and true. Par 3s are short no matter what tee you play. Great place
Good looking course, tough layout, smaller green, too much up and downs. Very tough to score. Par is a good score.
Enjoy
Super nice course greens r fast want to play it again too see of i can do better really enjoyed the round
The Rock has lost its lustre
We played yesterday and what should have been a pleasant day - became a day of frustration. Highlights include;
There was no starter - when we drove up to the 1st tee there were 5 carts before us. Eachgroup played as soon the preceding team was out of reach
There was no course marshall - Pace of play extremely slow.
Our round was 6 hours.
Course is in poor condition - greens fair.
It appears that course management has determined the season is nearing end and have stopped maintaining the course and are managing operations on minimal staff.
Golf Now
Love the course but only play because golf now makes it affordable
