just an okay course -
poor course conditions but it's Texas old course golf which we're not use to - tight fairway lies - hardly any grass or tightly mowed - could be from lack of moisture. Now we understand why they call a putter - the Texas wedge - would not pay here again even though we got a super deal - better courses in area for a little more money
Friendly staff
Guess getting ready for a tournament. Green where being watered as we play.
Overall...its good
This course has seen better days, as far as the physical condition of the course. There are so many situations where the fairways are hard as concrete and the greens are inconsistent but overall very slow to putt. Its still an enjoyable course, very tight fairways in places. Most of the time people are on adjacent fairways looking for their sliced drives. Much of the course, just like most courses in Southeast Texas suffers from the players driving their carts all over the course, not observing a general 90 degree rule from the cartpath and causes several potholes and other inconsistencies throughout the course that will cause lost balls in plain sight. 90 degree rules are typically observed during sloppy weather but if it was observed by default, these courses would be in much better condition
Horsey
Ratings showed this course to be a 4.5 out of 5 stars so I was expecting a lot more. The course was extremely wet from rains which can put a damper on things, but the greens are extremely small and the turf is patchy.
Bayou Din
Im from the Bmt and didn't know how nice the course was. Try to make it back real soon!
Nice course
Enjoyed playing this course , not easy bit wet when we played it ..
Great course especially with GolfNow rate!
Links 9 was in great condition despite having several inches of rain two days before. The Bayou Back 9 had lots of standing water and muddy areas. With a day or two of sunshine, both courses should be in great shape. The greens were hard and fast. Fairways were cut and in great condition. This was our first time playing the course and we got a little lost transitioning from the Links 9 to the Bayou back 9. Great course and great GolfNow deal.
What you see is what you get.
The course is hard and lacks plush fairways...or much grass. It plays more like a links course. The greens are usually average at best not many people fix divots marks and therefore they don't roll very good even on line putts bounce many times.
I always enjoy playing this course.
It was windy but the course and the people were great.
This course has lots of challenge with a dog leg on nearly all of the par 4's. The par 4's were long for a public course.
This course has a higer level of difficulty than most public courses. The par 4's were long and nearly all had dog legs. The greens were large and well maintained. Water came into play on about 60% of the holes.
The alternate nine was even more difficult. It was longer and had narrow fairways.
Great course
This course has a few very challening holes, only down side is the very short par 4s although the greens are protected by ponds and trees.
The 9 hole Links Course is the most challenging....
Great course for the area. A long course from the back tee boxes with many hazards. Plays fast and the people are friendly. The greens usually roll faster than all of the other courses in the area.
home course
this is a 27 hole course with a challenging links 9 that is pretty long. it is always in good playing condition.
