Need to upgrade course and equipment
I only play this course to get my girlfriend out, golf carts are as old as when I started playing
Barely run, no brakes
Marshals think they own the place and are very rude
Good be a great course if it wasn’t the same as it was in 1995
Pace of play is brutal
Good place to play
Great bang for the golfing buck - always one or two holes will beat up the average duffer
Won’t be back
Found the Marshall very rude, as well as the other golfers lacking proper etiquette. Course plays extremely slow...
I play 3-5 times a week all around Hamilton and the surrounding area and I have to say that this was the absolute worst experience I’ve ever had playing golf.
Great course
Can't beat the value, the course is in great shape, a few of the bunkers were full of water other than that enjoy a good round of golf
Staff could use some work on friendliness
My 3rd time at the course. Haven’t had an issue before. Simply asked the Ranger before my friend and I tee’d off. Asked him if it would be possible to just golf us two as my friend is a beginner golfer. Ranger was incredibly rude. He told us to “make up our mind now and get a refund or start golfing with another pair”
I could see the course was busy and a simple “no sorry, we can’t accommodate just you two.” Would of sufficed. I have never been talked to like that at a golf course, nor would I wish to speak to anyone like that.
The gentlemen we were paired with were great in the end and it was no issue. We only golfed 9 holes and the course was very accommodating in giving us a rain check for the back 9 we couldn’t complete.
Unfortunately I might not come back due to situation with the ranger before our round.
Friends and Golf
Course was in great shape for this time of year, always challenging on the Beddoes. Afternoon game pace is very quick with nice autumn temperatures.
Autumn at Cherokee is one of the most picturesque golf clubs around. Love the hilly terrain and challenging lies, brings out the best in every golfer. Thinking golfers course, plan each shot for best results.
No course ranger
Pace was a bit slow, to family groups of 3 in front of us. We were a twosome. After first nine 1 player from group in front left, remaining golfers play as 5 in a single group. Play slowed down considerably.
If course ranger available would have sense to allow to play through to improve pace of round.
Beautiful course
Very well maintained. I haven’t been playing long and it’s a manageable course for a novice. Staff is wonderful. Chippewa is our favourite local course.
Hottest day of the year
We teed off at 12.22 and it was very hot and humid but the beer girl was always around. The course was in great shape and the the pace of play was great 3.5 hrs. If I had one gripe it would be that there are to many ignorant people who don’t fix their ball marks on the greens.
Very hot day
We enjoyed the day, the pace was good, condition of the course was great. I hoping to play it again soon.
