as expected-good as usual!
The course conditions were excellent. the greens were in great shape. the bunkers were raked. The speed of play was average.
Nice layout
Course not just driver wedge or driver iron. Get to think off tee box. Great sand and great ongoing efforts to maintain and improve course. Can get this course if you are willing to course manage a little.
Excellent and enjoyable course
Very nicely designed course in perfect condition. Every hole is different and have its own point of challenge. There were some damages in the course due to severe cold during last winter what impacted all courses in Southern Ontario but maintained perfectly. Very kind and supportive personnel made play more enjoyable. Strongly recommend to play!
Driving Range?
The driving range for a nice course like this was very disappointing. It only had 4 flags to shoot at with no indication of distance at all. Very tough to warm up properly and discouraging after paying $11 for a large bucket.
Willow Valley Worth Playing
An excellent day at Willow Valley. The front 9 was very interesting and much more challenging than the back. Course is not long but fun to play.
Nice Course
A fair course for the price for a Father's Day round.
large tricky greens
Course has nice variety of holes. Greens are in good condition but very undulating & tricky to putt. Slower than they appear. Rough is extremely punishing & usually results in lost ball. Overall nice challenge & enjoyable. Staff are very friendly and make for a pleasant experience.
A Memorable Day
Played Sunday June 1st 10:00 AM course was busy, but not crazy busy. Weather was perfect.
The course was in great condition the greens were the best I have played this year so far. Fairway's were nice, bunkers need some work.
Played Gold tee's which makes it a pretty challenging course, layout is good greens are so undulating that putting it on the green is not good enough, you have to put it in the correct portion or you are asking to three putt (4 times for me).
The best part of the day was 17 where coming off a nine on the par 5 16th I hit a 7 iron that look pretty good...and it was. Landed 15 feet from the hole and rolled into the cup just like a putt. After 40 years of playing can finally take that off my list. I know I have not had the following 3 hole scores before 2-9-1. They were awesome in the pro shop and clubhouse when I told them...it was appreciated. Golf Now's tag line applies to Willow Valley Go play!
GREAT COURSE
I had played the course before and new what to expect. It had rained previously and the course was wet (soaked with accumulation) I got in 12 holes
of which the first 9 I had no rain then gave up after 3 holes of rain. Will go back again when better weather occurs
Reasonable price, staff very friendly ,course in good condition ,fairways & greens.
People very friendly, course in good condition, fairways &greens, bunkers very wet, weather just changing from winter to spring.
Spring golf
Staff awesome. Overbooked tee times so pace of play was slow over 5 hour round. But seeing it was second weekend open I can live with it. I will return for hopefully the weather will be better. Thanks again to the all the staff.
This is an excellent course. Just beautiful.
Great fairways. Challenging holes from the blue tees. The staff was very friendly and the course was in awesome shape. It was a perfect day with nice wind to cool it down a bit.
excellent
super friendly staff. Course was in great condition for the time of year. Enjoyed it very much. Good bang for the buck.
nice course
Nice course with rolling hills. Fairways and greens were awesome.Challenging golf.
Good Value
this course is always in great condition from tee boxes, fairways to green. Traps could use a little attention
A good test for your game.
First time I played here. I enjoyed the challenge of the course but felt that it was very fair in its demands. Flat lies are hard to find. Greens were quite slow. Only criticism would be the golf cart paths. They take you on such round about routes that I would never want to play the course under "cart path only" restrictions.
Great course! Keep it in play!
One of my favourites in Ontario. Expect to be challenged and play safe.
Great Course, poor customer service
Booked through Golf Now, arrived at course early to find that our tee time delayed due to 3 tournaments booked plus other paid tee times. Had we known this we would have booked elsewhere. Golf Now can post aeration warning , why not warnings about large or multiple tournaments.
Attractive, never-boring course
I haven't been here for a while because the fairways and greens were pretty damaged and poorly maintained, but, when I played here yesterday, this beautiful course seemed to have recovered about 80% of its original charm. Luckily, there were only a few aircrafts flying right above the course for some reasons. Considering every aspect, it surely is one of the best public courses in the Hamilton area. I'd like to thank the starter, Mr. Nice Guy, who kindly squeezed us in to start earlier.
