Great course
Greens were a little rough, this time. I've played here before and they were better.
great afternoon rate
One of my favorite courses to play in Hamilton, close to my home, great design which is challenging, and interesting to play.
Challenging yet fair
My only complaint about this course is the amount of long, naturalized areas. In excess, too many of these slow down the pace of play when you have higher handicapped players at the course. I think some of these could be replaced with waste bunkers, still low maintenance, yet playable.
1St Time playing
Enjoyable course nice layout excellent shape nice greens only complaint holes are little close to each other I would play it again
Nice course with huge greens.
This was the first time playing this course and really enjoyed it. The course was in good shape and the greens rolled true and fast...although you will have some crazy putts if you end up on the wrong tier. Pace of play was very good and the layout was fair..if you can hit your targets you should score well. Lots of bunkers but they were nice to play from. Would definitely play here again.
Great Staff...Great Golf...Great Time!!!
Definitely one of the better courses in the Hamilton area. The golf course was a very good condition for mid-summer. It is a fair layout and one has to work very hard to lose a ball here (although the fescue can be treacherous). Fast rate of play and our group was done the course in under 4 hours. I definitely will be coming back!
Geat course Layout - Challenging but short
Very much enjoyed my play here. Very interesting holes. Well maintained, greens are very undulating and at times overdone like a mini -putt. But that's all good. Don't miss the greens because behind them immediately is dense fescue and water.
Nice mix of hole across the par 3s, 4s, and 5's.
Have always enjoyed the course since it opened. Staff is great.
Course could be played in under 4 hours if marshalls push a little.
Reachable par 5s are a risk reward. There is ample opportunity to score well if you shoot to receptive target areas.
Many greens offer enough options in pin placement to create a challenge.
We don't mind the drive in from Toronto / Mississauga to play.
Buy only if it is hot deal.
Their rates are honestly out to lunch. Great course but not worth the money unless you can buy it as a hot buy and get a worthy discount. It is maintained but they often have soaking wet bunkers, issues on a few of their greens and they have so many staff trying to maintain everything they are often in the way. I won't be going back anytime soon.
Great course very challenging
Course was in good condition, very challenging on some holes. Some holes a little dangerously close to others.
Needs some work
I didn't find it to be a great value for the price here, even getting a reasonable discount booking through golfnow. The greens, while challenging in terms of layout, left quite a lot to be desired when it came to the maintenance and were reminiscent of what you would find on much less expensive courses. Some greens were better taken care of than others, but most had dozens of un-repaired ball marks that seemed to have been long-ignored judging from the look of them. The tee boxes were also in pretty terrible shape for the most part as well.
The course had a reasonable layout and the holes were fairly challenging (some more than others). The way-finding needs some definite work. The greens were challenging both due to their layout and their iffy condition and there were bunkers, bunkers, bunkers (and apparently they had removed a lot of them recently).
In my round we were stuck between a super-slow foursome in front of us -- who were late starting on their tee time and threw off all of us following them -- and a super-speedy foursome behind us (that seemed polite enough but were definitely pushing us). The Marshall was fairly present and asking question of us (possibly because the foursome behind us were complaining about the slowdowns) but didn't seem to be able to light a fire under the foursome ahead of us, who we had to wait for at the majority of holes while they chatted around the greens.
I won't be in a hurry to return to this course but I've certainly played course in worse condition. I didn't find it a great value due to the iffy green conditions and slow play.
Fairways kept nice, sand bunkers kept in good shape
First time playing this course and it was a really nice course, enjoyed it alot with my brother. Everything was kept in great shape, Tee-off time was great. Would play this again if golf-now offered a great savings discount.
Willow Valley Course, Mount Hope
-A bit pricey, but a good course. Hit hard by recent storm but the staff had already cleared most of the trees and debris.
-The greens are quite challenging, with many slopes and berms to be read when putting.

Great staff and course was a treat ! - Tough but fair greens.
Just wanted to mentioned what a enjoyable morning we had. To start i had mistakenly booked the wrong day and showed up with out my confirmation, and the pro shop honored the reservation and handled this issue without a pause. Now that is customer service. Course was in mint condition, fun and very challenging. I would highly recommend this course and the staff. Oh and the sand plays beautifully!, trust me i know.!
Great Course!
Willow has come a long way since last year. The course was in great shape, and greens were rolling really well. We teed off at 8:10am and were finished by 12:30. Great round all in all.
Great layouts. Challenging approach but fair fairways.
Our first visit... Initially quite overwhelmed by it's first tough approach to green and by the time we make the first turn, we're completely in love of this beautiful golf course. We'll be back for sure. Great rates for Seniors.
Great course recovering from a wicked storm.
Our round was on a Sunday, 2 days after a wicked storm hit the area. In fact, power was still out at the course and they were running on a single back-up generator. Due to a tournament event that took place the niight before, the course officials warned us that the power carts may not be fully charged.
In the end, all worked out OK. A number of trees were uprooted or just snapped in half. Traps were, understandably, unplayable. The fairways and greens, though, were in their typical good shape (although very soft from the rains).
Good pace to the round.
Not Impressed
I arrived at the course to learn a tornado had passed through the night before. I did not receive a phone call about this prior to my 40 minute drive to the course while my playing partner did. The pro shop guys said that "the course was still in good shape" and "we haven't had a complaint all day". Because of the tornado, the course had no power and therefore no food except hot dogs and chips. I had arrived there planning to eat before I played but instead was left starving because I had not received any kind of notice of the course's shape.
Onto the actual course... Every bunker had been massacred and flooded, hundreds of trees were down around the course, new lakes had formed in parts of the fairway, and debris was strewn across the entire course. So the pro shop guys lied to me too.
Extremely disappointed in the course's handling of the situation even though a tornado had hit.
Excellent coarse with many challenging holes.
Very well maintained coarse. Has many bunkers placed in challenging positions. Play is very slow due to many novice players that tend to frequent popular vacation destination type courses. Marshals to speed up play were none existent. Our round was 5.5 hrs long. Other then that it was a very good coarse
Pristine Parkland Golf
Very playable parkland style golf course with some challenge and a definite focus on conditioning. Most holes are nicely framed from the tee box and the greens are undulating and a challenge to hit in the right area if a one putt is to be acheived.
