Pleasantly Surprised
Have lived in the Ottawa area for 10 years and this was the first time playing the course and quite enjoyed it.
Fun layout with some elevation that I wasn’t expecting. Very playable even if you miss the fairway.
Was disappointed to find out upon arrival that they punched the greens. It should have been noted on the booking website! I would have given the course conditions a higher rating if the greens were not aerated.
Got stuck behind a company tournament, took us 3.5 hrs to play the front 9, but luckily the tournament was only playing 9 holes. The back 9 was quick. Very challenging course and beautifully maintained and laid out
The staff were entirely unhelpful and non-responsive
The course does not answer their phone, does not follow-up on messages, and does not respond to messages via alternate channels such as social media. When support was requested on-site it was met with a response of "we're really busy and can't help with that". When a manager was asked for, we were told that he was busy golfing and was unavailable. All in all, very unimpressed. The course was fine, but the staff interaction makes it entirely not worth the time or the spend.
Beautiful course
Amazing setting for this course - close to the city and with beautiful rolling hills and large established trees. Course was in great shape considering the drought we had all summer...really great greens. This course is one to be played - its tight and fast and makes you work on your precision.
Staff and marshals are very friendly and helpful. Always have had quick responses to my inquiries from the management too. Food is good, but the windows in the dining room could use a good clean.
Love this course and really wish it could go back to private- this would help maintain the integrity of the greens ,reduce littering, etc.that I personally have seen happen with non members that just don't care. This course and clubhouse are better than some of the private ones I've played in the area.
Excellent greens
The general course condition seems like it had a rough year. I played a day after much rain and the course didn’t seem to be able to dry up well. The tee-off areas seemed to have had a rough year growing grass. All that said, the greens were very good and true.
Good Value
A great course fr golfers of all levels. Accuracy off the tee more important than a long drive. Good choice ,for an early morning round. Pace of play 3:40.
Always a Great Experience!
I play Cedarhill whenever I can. I truly enjoy their greens. As a single player,,it can be difficult during this pandemic to get a tee-off time through Golf Now.
Very Narrow Course
Course is typical of older courses. Not particularly long but narrow with trees right on the edge of the fairway. Not being in the fairway means a lot of extra shots to punch out. Routing of course is odd, and there are multiple holes with houses on one side as the course winds through a residential area. The routing is a bit unusual as well. Greens were fast and particularly difficult with pin placements.
Wasn't a huge fan of the course, but it's a reasonable course at a good price.
