Good but not Great

Greens and bunkers need a lot of work. In several greens some varmints put holes in greens. Played in 4.5 hours but it seemed much longer. Waited on every hole. Patrons do not fix ball marks. Fixed several on every hole. Some idiot took chunks out of the green on 17. I did not like that they put the pin near it. The course was in better shape earlier in the year green wise. Parking lot was full, too bad all that money coming in that they cannot buy sand.

Challenging for any level

Tricky layout. Excellent greens with challenging undulations.
Usually play from whites here because blue and gold tee boxes place you in more guarded locations that limit the ability to start the ball for my power draw. When playing from whites I normally play a four hybrid(22*) which is good for 225 yards for me off a tee and more consistent accuracy control. Whites are not to long of a tee set that keeping the big dog in the bag poses a problem as long as you are a strong iron player that can hit your pitching wedge 150 yards consistently on the fly and check it on landing!

Some minor areas are ground under repair but only for the ball strikers with too much dispersion to avoid it! Course management of your golf ball here will definitely lower your score dramatically at Beechwood! Most of the trouble is behind the greens that can easily lead to a lost ball on most holes!

If your not a fan of lots of tree lined fairways and high trees that can easily make a nightmare of a beautiful drive this course may prove too much of a challenge but that is what the skill of course management is all about!

I highly recommend Beechwood for bogey or better golfers that love a challenge and for struggling players that cannot brake 100 consistently there are two shorter tee boxes that will allow you to stay out of trouble easier and still enjoy this beautiful architecture!

Loved the course as always

Beechwood is a great club to go to if you want an enjoyable yet slightly challenging round, the few long par 4’s and par 5’s they have a really fun to play, and if you like shooting with water hazards you’ll love the 17th!

Great for the price.

The course is in mediocre condition. The greens are not well taken care of with divots every where. Tee boxes are hit and miss. But it is a bargain course so it’s to be expected. It’s a nice layout and good for some good scores. Wide fairways so fun if you like to grip it and rip it off the tees. Overall it’s an enjoyable round.

Great Course for the Price!

First time and can’t say I was disappointed at all. Enjoyed every minute. The amenities aren’t great off course but that’s not why we go golfing is it? Highly recommend!
