18 for 20$
Walked it in like 3.5 hrs - layout is somewhat confusing - staff is very friendly and it was a good value for the money I payed, that said it is a bit of goat path - greens in need of repair , rock hard fairways due to lack of irrigation etc.
Crazy Layout
This was my first time to play golf in Canada so I picked a middle of the road price for golf. Bad move on my part. The layout was strange at best and all the cart paths were gravel. A lot of the paths headed right back toward the fairway that you just finished so you had golf balls coming right at you. One highlight was the staff, restaurant workers and the starter were very accommodating. Greens and fairways were in good shape.
Average at best...
My fiancee and I played the course on a warm and sunny (if windy) fall day. We got a halfway decent rate on Golfnow and decided to stop on our way up to Niagara Falls. The course was lightly trafficked and we got right out on time. The guy in the pro shop was cordial and helped by giving us a few pointers on navigating the course layout quirks. If you haven't played here before, this is critical info. as the course has a weird flow. The tees and fairways were in average condition and the greens were pretty nice. The bunkers had little to no sand and were virtually unplayable. As a whole, the course was unremarkable and we have no plans to return.
Hot and steamy great for fall golf. Good greens, nice shape for three weeks no rain. Beer was cold and fair priced.
Enjoyable
Excellent value. Nice course, very good condition.
A GOOD FUN TOURNAMENT COURSE
The course is laid out well for having a fun tournament. The distance between some of the holes gives you time to get foursomes off. However the day we played it the course was unpredictable. Some hole were very wet along the fairways, other were dry, the sand traps were unplayable and the greens needed upkeep.
Old Style Course With Heavy Rough
The challenge to this course is staying on the narrow fairways as the rough, if you find your ball, is deep. Think US Open rough. Always enjoyable to play, but Golf Canada doesn't recognize this course in their handicap system.
A Gem In Niagara Region
Hot deal for $21.49?! sure needed to see how this course was as what I read from other reviews this is a nice course. Yes it is, and for the hot deal, can't beat that. Old style course, so narrow fairways. 2 negatives were the sand straps are poor and the greens very slow, but they were plush.
This course is good for the intermediate golfers
Overall the condition of the course is good except the bunker which need to improve by fill up some more sand.
Hidden Gem: great price
Course is in great shape. Mature with lots of trees. Only criticism are the sand traps; not much sand in them...unplayable.
Great Course
Great course and well taken care of, would play again
Barbara & Bruce Niagara
We were on a camping trip in upstate NY and wanted to play a course in Canada. Niagara Falls Golf Course came up on the GolfNow list in Canada. The course was very tree line and tight. Rough was deep but not too hard to get out of. Tee boxes and greens were in excellent condition. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Had lunch in bar before the round and the food was great. This is a great course designed for walkers which there were plenty on the course. I would play this course again when in the area. Great value based on exchange rate.
