Very Hot day, no water on course to be found or drink cart!!
there was a tournament and mens day all together so it was very slow on the course
staff was not friendly at all

Greens in excellent shape in spite of recent drought like conditions. like the way some holes skirt Batteaux Creek but water hazard not a big deal.
Selection of tee blocks makes for extreme challenge ( blue tees) but white and yellow tees offer par opportunities for the weekend golfer.

Enjoyed the course , extremely windy conditions that were a challenge on a course like this that is wide open. Horn blew us off the course on 16 so didn't get to finish up.

Very dry summer here and their irrigation ponds are drying up but, except for a few patches and the margins where sprinklers don't cover, the course is in quite good shape. Greens are rolling very true, fast but still reasonably receptive, at least on short iron approaches. One complaint is the bunkers, they get a regular raking for cosmetics but really need to be dug to loosen hard packed sand underneath.

Considering the drought in the area the fairways where in excellent condition and the greens are in great shape.
Would play the course again and again.

Fair, yet challenging course with great greens conditions even with the hot weather we've been having.

Next time I am in the area I will play again being one of the better value courses in the area.

Course in very good condition considering complete lack of rain. Tough tight fairways on several holes. Great for intermediate or better players
$5 for a pyramid of balls at range was fair value great for a warm up. Only disappointment was $40 for a replay after 6 pm? ( more than we paid for the first round)

A difficult course for a beginner but most challenging for a seasoned amature, great round.

Great layout and the course was in good condition. That being said, we followed a twosome (and we were four) and we waited on a every shot, with multiple holes open in front of them.

I am a big fan of Batteaux and got a great deal. Info have to say that the fairways are not in the same shape as previous years. I know it has been dry but we had
tomplay preferred lies as fairways were in bad shape.

An excellent course for a great price!

My friends and I have played this course a couple of years ago and we enjoyed ourselves. Unfortunately the same cannot be said when we played again on June 25th. The first 5 or 6 holes the pace was excellent and we were enjoying our round. That all grinded to a halt for the last 3-4 holes. This can happen during the round, but what we didn't expect to see was the Fivesome playing two groups ahead. Yes, a fivesome. We slowly finished the front nine and went in to the pro shop to voice our concern. The proshop as well as a couple of other employees seemed genuinely surprised that a fivesome was playing. They radioed the Marshall to let him know. We waited quite awhile watching all five tee off and even a couple hit provisionals. We then watched as they had to go find their balls etc and get ready for their second shots. We decided there was no way we were going to play behind a fivesome and went in to see about a rain check or a refund for 9 holes. We were told sorry only refunds and rainchecks for weather. We said fine and we're leaving. We ran into I believe the Marshall on our way out and he tried to tell us it wasn't the fivesome it was the tourney of poor golfers (11 groups of 4) ahead of them. Well then the course should be out there doing something to move that tourney along as well. It was apparent he was not going to be breaking up the fivesome because he said it wouldn't make it quicker. I couldn't disagree more. Even if you believe it doesn't make it quicker, optically it's the worst thing to be waiting and seeing a fivesome playing ahead of you. One of the worst sins of a golf course is to allow that to happen and condone it. I will be making sure I let my golf buddies know to avoid this course unless you have five guys that want to play together.

Decided to play Batteaux Creek with my son in law while on a short family vacation in the Collingwood area. Found the course to be a pleasant surprise. The layout was challenging but not overly difficult. The greens were very consistent and the traps were in excellent condition. We played from the Blues but found the length of the course to be a fair test of our games. The only negative comment I can make was the pace of play. This might sound a little odd but we actually found the pace to be a bit too quick . I only say this because as a two-some we thought we might find the round a little slow but actually encountered the opposite scenario. I understand this is a semi-private course and members who are familiar with the course and layout are prone to playing at a quicker pace but it was a little bit much when the marshal asked my son-in-law and I if we could speed up our pace? Suffice to say it effected our enjoyment of the day but we will return. We finished our round in 3 hours and 45 minutes (walking) on a course we were not familiar with and that really needs to think about putting markers up indicating where the next hole is.

A really good tract that is played usually in a strong wind. The staff is friendly and helpful. The course conditions were unusually poor especially the greens but under aggressive maintenance. This should be a great place to play in the fall.

Always enjoy playing at Batteaux Creek it was busy but a great day well worth playing numerous times throughout the yr

No matter what your level of golf this course will challenge you.

Reasonable rates and good lay out. Friendly staff. We played the same play day as the Great Lakes tour and were surprised that the greens were so hard and dry that no matter what you did you couldn't hold the green. Please water the coarse! Wouldn't rush back.

We played on a very busy day, so unfortunately the round took longer then we hoped. But besides that the staff was very helpful, and the golf course was fun. I would definitely say this is one of the better courses in the Collingwood area.
