A scenic beauty
We both thought the course was very well set up. There some very good challenges with the position of some of the more mature trees. A lot of dog legs left which was a difficulty for someone who has a prevalent left to right shot. Greens and the whole course were in excellent shape. The traps were difficult to play out of with the sand quite compact very close to the surface. Staff were very friendly. That is a must if you are going to drive an hour and a half to play a course. The only problem is the drive to the course
Course has character and a great layout, conditions aren't the best.
I've golfed the oaks many times. I like the course however the conditions haven't been optimal but it's not too bad. Last year I played here a lot less because I felt the prices were much too high for a course of this tier. Still solid place for a round of gold though.
First Timer
we are 3-4/year golfers looking for a little nicer course/experience for our annual father/son game. it felt a little slow at times but in the end, it was probably 4 1/2 hours for the round - not bad really! the course didnt really set up well for MY game, but worked well for my playing partner. if not for that, i would definitely play the Oaks again.
Oaks of St George
this course is challenging, picturesque, in great shape, and is a pleasure to play(even hole 4 my nemesis).
highly recommend this tract to any and everyone,
Perfect greens.
The greebs held from a distance, and they rolled true.
November 27 2020
Playing late November at Oaks of St George!!
Great shape. Greens were fast which was unexpected due to the wet conditions
Looking forward to coming back
november golf
Playing conditions were fantastic for November. always enjoy playing here. pace slowed down a little on the back 9, but overall a fantastic day.
Good conditions at this time of the year!
A prefect day to walk the course in late October. Greens are in excellent shape.
dont pay in advance
i purchased a round through Golf Now which of course is usually walking rates and i get a cart there as i am 65, with knee and back issues. course decided not to allow carts at all which meant that i had to forfeit my money or walk the course. i walked the course but very disappointed in the amount of fallen leaves that came into play especially on several greens. on some greens we took a 2 putt maximum due to the amount of leaves on the green. i understand not allowing the big blowers on the main course as it was wet but you can blow the greens with handheld machines. this is normally a very nice course but very disappointed today in course and in the golf now refund policy.
Challenging but fair
Lots of variety with elevation changes protected pin placements. Greens were mostly in excellent condition. Some drought damage but areas were on the mend. Accurate driving needed to avoid awkward lies.
waiting for a cart
everything was good but waited an hour past are tee time for a cart, just finished the the last hole as it was getting dark just barely saw the ball. the problem was there was a six-some three groups a head of us which consisted of three woman and three man, five of them never played before.
