Greens had just been aerated which was quite disappointing
Course layout is amazing. 9.5 out of 10 had the greens not just been aerated. A little red fox joined us at one green. Two holes later, we encountered 200 pound black bear.
Great Course
Course was in great overall shape. Looks like they have been working on the greens. They are a little bumpy but not bad at all. As per usual ,we did not see anyone while we were golfing until we got to the club house. The clubhouse is being completed ,and it is turning out well. Stayed for dinner and food was great .Serve was excellent. You have to come play this course , it is one of a kind .
stellar northern golf, gorgeous scenery
If you played this course a few years ago, before the ownership change, and were unimpressed, give it another try! The clubhouse is almost finished, beverage carts on the course and a halfway house with 9th tee pre-order. Course condition is excellent. A very challenging round of golf for a great price.
This course is maturing nicely.
It's been a few years since we've played this course so it was a pleasure this week. It has certainly matured and continues to provide challenges on many holes. It is so nice to play a hole and not see other players on adjoining fairways as it's very spread out. The only downside is the way in which they cut the greens leaving troughs or ridges when putting.
What An Experience!!!
Having played this course for the first time, it was one of the nicest courses I have ever seen. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The restaurant had just opened and the food was delicious. Overall, a great golfing experience. I would recommend this course to anyone in the area.
Beautiful Course
This is a fantastic course - I have played it a few times already.
Compared to the cost of other courses in the Muskoka area - this is one of the better value courses.
The only complaint - if any - was they were doing work to all the greens - I don't know what exactly as this was the first time I have ever seen it......there were lines cut into the putting surface......this made putting nearly impossible......the ball would bounce and holding any sort of line was not possible.
The only thing you could do was putt it close - and anything within 2 feet was a gimme.
I played from the Blues - and being a high handicap golfer - this gave me quite the challenge.
I will definitely play this course again - hopefully the greens will be all fixed up by then.
This course is so interesting with great challenges on every hole
It was a great course to play and we enjoyed the club house and staff. All was perfect including the weather.
some unique holes cut out of mature woodland
This course was great, The one thing lacking was good bunkers. Many had stones and poor quality of sand. If the bunkers had have been better my group would have given this a 5 star rating.
Extreme Golfing at its Best
Seguin Valley was awesome. I've never seen a course with such beautiful holes. The course was in pristine condition and the staff were both courteous and friendly. Every hole felt like you were the only ones on the course completely surrounded by nature. A perfect mix of granite, marsh, trees and lakes...was everything we expected plus a lot more. Will definetely be back over and over again!!!
Challenging course with some of the most unique holes I've ever seen.
The course is in excellent shape (also considering the time of the year. Every hole is challenging to golfers of all levels and the scenery is absolutely stunning. The signature seventh hole ranks amongst the best holes I've ever seen.
Diamond in the Ruff
This course is not only scenic it has surprizes around each bend. Cut through beautiful hardwoods, streams and lakes abound. This course is very challenging for new golfers and challenging to seasoned golfers. Landing areas are narrow and fairways are wide. Shots must be picked out or else one will be penalized by an erractic shot. New ownership makes this a must play course.
Interesting, scenic and challenging. A great golf outing.
I have played quite a few of the Muskoka courses and I would rate Sequin as one of the best. It is certainly challenging and if the greens were faster it could be the best. Interesting and creative hole design makes for a great outing. I would play it again with relish.
The course does have great and features and quite scenic
A good golf layout, greens as slow as any I have ever played, however this was May 8. Good value for the $29.00 we payed but a long drive from Toronto.
Challenging yet forgiving
great course no two holes the same good variety of tee shots as well as wildlife
One of my favorite tracks, sprawls many acres and is carved into beautiful wilderness
I have played this course dozens of times and will keep going back. It has a little of everything (except another holes fairway to save an errant drive!), and will challenge even the most accomplished player. Great scenery with a challenging layout, its hard not to love this course.
Has potential but not there yet !!
The course has great potential but is certainly not worth what they are charging to play there. Very scenic and interesting layout but needs attention. Traps where not groomed at all, different fairways and ruff required mowing. Greens had numerous ball marks that neither other players or greens keeper seemed to be interested in repairing. Fairways where very deceiving in perceived yardages many blind landing areas. No yardage book available and course not in my GPS data base. Would have to play the course at least 3 times before you would be comfortable with your shots off the tee. Most fairways are down into a valley with an uphill approach to the green. Clubhouse has finally opened but nowhere's near properly set up for business. If the current owner continues to develop and maintain the course it will someday be worth the value. As it stands if you dont have discounted green fee rate is certainly not worth the fees. If you find a cheap rate it is an interesting course to play.
Very scenic and a great challenge
Played as a single and had a great time. Super-friendly staff with no attitude, Golfnow booking was handled perfectly. Definitely an under-rated course that demands your full attention and every club in your bag - espescially the long Par 3 over water - like no other Par 3 I've ever played. If you haven't played it bring your smart-phone with QR code capability and pay close attention to the flyovers so you can see where there's room to miss - I would have been lost without mine as the course wasn't in my GPS's database. Extraordinary value - I'll definitely be back!!
Most extreme golf ever played
This is a fantastic seneick golf experience , with well spread out interesting holes
