The course presented a nice challenge and demanded accuracy to keep the ball on the fairway. Easy to loose your ball along the fairway fringe due to falling leaves . Overall, good value for the money.
Durham regions best 9
It’s a great course with a variety of everything. Water, bunkers, elevation and rolling hills. The course is always in great shape, bunkers have soft lush sand. Hole3&4 are great back to back par 3’s. Staff is always friendly and joking around. Look forward to many more rounds here and walking most of them
I played here for the first time on Oct 4, 2019 and was very impressed with this 9-hole course. The terrain is hilly and scenic with lots of variety. Some tight fairways made for challenging shots, but still very enjoyable.
I was also impressed with how well the groundskeepers kept the course. Even with the leaves falling off the trees, they continuously blew the greens clean. The sand in the bunkers was soft and raked, not like the concrete-like sand at other courses. It was amazing value. I will tell my friends and will play there again.
The first cart I picked didn’t work and discover later the one I’d picked had little to no brakes.. The cart paths are I terrible repair; broken and crumbling. Avoid this course!
Great course funny friendly staff, our second time there was a bit more intense as it was a holiday therefore very busy... not the courses fault.
Only thing that was upsetting was being accused of stealing another golfers yellow balls... (young golfer who clearly was aggressive because he was slightly older then us)
Overall fun experience!
Great Gem for 9 Quick Holes
Great little course. Great for hitting 9 after work, or go around twice for 18 on a weekend. Cannot get a better price for a course like this, located where it is. There were some slower golfers. Everyone was letting faster pace players go through. Has enough for all levels.
Very hilly..somewhat a bit of challenge..will go back for sure. Enjoyed playing the 9 holes
Well maintained course, great staff with a family feel. Highly recommend...
Played the course with family... Had an amazing time. Much friendlier that other course we've played at in Pickering. Some challenging holes to keep it interesting!
Nice scenic course.
It is a scenic course with a nice mix of holes in good condition. Very enjoyable round
For 15$ From golf now its good value ...no cart girl this time tho unfortunately ...7/10
Nice course and great staff!
My wife and I played there July 28 and boy was it hot!!!!
Let me start by saying that we are not "Golfers". The course was a bit challenging (for us anyway and the heat didn't help). but the course is very well maintained and clean. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Ron, the marshal, saw that we were/are beginners and helped us out with advice, extra balls and even went out of his way to get us a couple of cold bottles of water.
Thanks Pickering Golf Club, and Ron! We had a great day and will definitely be going back!
A good golf day
The game could have been slow if we followed the 4 some ahead but thankfully we passed them and had an unencumbered round. The course was in great condition and provided a challenging game. For a 9 hole course it provided all we wanted and recommend it to the experienced golfers.
