mr.
nice course worth the money.it is good not only for singles but also for families.
Great Value
The course is great value, close to home, great for all levels of golfers
Good and comfortable/easy course
Found the direction plates just in front of the green which can obstruct the roll of the ball. Hence be placed off the green/fairway and towards the track leading to next tee off. It should be clearly visible. (2) I played single and also it was my first visit. On 2 or 3 holes, the direction plates were missing and I did not know which way to go. So, I felt confused for a while. (3) Players do feel thirsty during the round. Drinking water is the basic necessity which may be provided free at one or two places, but surely at the club house. It does not cost much to the club which is an institution. After all the golfers are paying for the round of golf and not asking for undesired facility. Lastly, I have enjoyed my round of 18 holes and would like to play again. Thank you.
pack a lot of patience
great course to work on your short game but extremely slow. should not take close to 5 hours to play 18 on an executive course
My Livingroom...
I played more than ten times here this summer. It is a nice natural course. The fairways are not so well maintained like at other courses, but it is fun to play here. Wide fairways, huge greens.
You can easily walk it and train your irons. Barthurst in my opinion does not need a marshal. They have smart people at the tee off. I started once from the back nine because the front nine were busy. Saved me a lot of time and that is what you need as a single golfer, a smart marshal who takes care also of the single golfers.
Nice Executive Course
This is a great little course for a quick round. I've played all 18 in under 2 hours as Twosome before work. Latest round was with my 15 year old daughter and the course is perfect for a nice round with family. The pace of play is quite variable, because of the really low cost, You do get an off a lot of new golfers coming out and the pace of play suffers. Give credit to the Marshalls they were working hard to get a foursome ahead of us moving, but whenever the Marshall wasn't on them, they slowed to a crawl. We chatted with the Marshall and let him know that part of the reason was multiple mulligan's off the tee. That helped as he was able to stop that behaviour and the pace of play magical sped up.
The course is an executive, short on all holes, which can also slow play. With so many greens accessible from the tees, you do have to wait a fair bit. The course is also tight, so there is a fair amount of play from adjacent fairways etc. but all this is balanced with a pleasant environment (nature reserve) and a course made for easy walking. I'd recommend not using a power cart, it's faster to walk at times.
It's okay
Very poor grass but its an okay course I personally wouldn't play every week there. A very good course for a beginner ..
Thanks
course rating
Short course. Very easy to walk. Easy to score.
Par 3s are challenger. Open fairways allows you to let your driving rip. Only one par 5. Lots of geese dropping s on the greens and fairways.
Work on your short game!
Short course with moderate challenge, consisting of 6, 300+-yard par 4's; one par 4 of ~250 yards and a finishing hole of ~500 yards. Distances are all from the "tips".
Gives the average golfer an opportunity to work on their short game.
When you want to get out for a quick 9 or 18 consider this course.
Walk! Don't ride!
greens in great condition
We started out our game. Got 3 holes in then thunderstorm. We waited out the storm went back out after it cleared and we had the whole course to our selves.
Nice course to work on iron play.
At the beginning of the season, weeds were rampant on the course especially on the tee boxes. Now, at the start of the summer, they, along with the grass, are dormant.
This course has above average landscape to work on iron play.
I would definitely play here again.
Bathurst Glen gets full marks
Booked for 1:00 start, arrived early and after checking with starter was teed up at 12:45. Pace on front 9 was good with a 4some in front of our 2some. Back 9 was wide open. Greens were excellent and rough was challenging once off the fairway. Would recomment to anyone!
Average
Course is worth playing only if you find discounted green fees. Regular green fees are way too high based on what you get.
Great value course
Great local course to play, staff is friendly course conditions are pretty good, greens are excellent for the most part. My only complaint would be pace of play, the course tends to overbook and with a lot of beginners it can be a very long round. As a municipal course with its positive environmental impact I think this is a local blessing for beginners to advanced players.
quick course
well kept grounds with 1 spot sectioned off as "under repair" some short tees (105 is the shortest) but a fast paced and fun course with plenty of challenge, the 18th is a mammoth hole and great fun.
good course for practicing n improve skills at the 18-hole course not a range :p
It's a small course but good for ppl to practice on the course instead of just hitting on the pad :)
A Good Course
I'll recommend this course to anyone who wants to improve their game.
