Marshall didn’t do anything to speed up pace of play
Staff were very rude
No debit or credit machines
Couldn’t fill up water bottles were told to pay four bucks for vending machine water
Would never play this course again if it weren’t for the hot deal price
Good value for playing this course.
But the unknown match players are very slow because they did 3 full pre-swing for every swing.
I liked it
Well kept, broad fairways, logical layout made it easy to find the next hole. Although not the prettiest or interesting of courses, it was an easy walk when we played since it was pretty flat and not very busy at that time. Good course for those looking for a nice leisurely round, but not for serious golfers looking for challenge.
Course was very wet on the day we played. Don’t think this is a normal condition. Was told there had been significant rain the night before. Otherwise it’s a fun course to play.
Good conditions today
Great conditions for cool day in the fall. Greens were very receptive to approach shots, and as a result I was able to shoot better than expected.
Great round of Golf!
Weather was great.
Fairways and greens in very good condition.
Good bang for the buck!
Watch out for golf now posting NO CARTS should be in RED as they ding you $32 for carts at the course !!
No worth the money should be $30 as show on Golf Now but in smart print CARTS not included Should be in RED as I miss this and course hits you for another $32. Course is only worth $30 including cart. Service was poor as it starting pouring rain and on the 7Th we race back to SHACK of clubhouse and as we were soaked we asked for a refund. Clerk was not very happy ( really hates working there) would only offer a 9 hole credit and then the Golf Now only offer a partially refund.
Will NOT PLAY THIS COURSE AGAIN !! They could careless as land is going to be houses with 5 yrs.
good course for the beginners
It is the best course for the beginners, which is the broad fairway and short distance
In pretty good shape after lots of rain. Greens quite slow and uneven which may well have to do with the ongoing wet weather. A pretty good value for the money.
The deal is great, the course is decent, the pace is slow at noon.
Bloomington Downs is the reason I'll never book in advance again. The rain produced so much water that the greens were literally unplayable. The holes were full to the brim and a baseball like swing sent the ball maximum 6 feet. However it was only a drizzle when I got there, so the course was "open". So I played, until the drizzle turned to buckets on the 9th hole. I waited...and waited....and decided I couldn't take it anymore and went back to the clubhouse where they joyfully told me that because I was a golfnow customer, I was out of luck if I wanted to come back another time. Because "if Golfnow calls and asks if we're open and we're open...you won't get your money back". The thing is, I didn't want my money back, i just wanted to play a decent round and EVERYONE knew there was zero possiblity of playing a decent round that day. Putting was impossible and even if it did stop raining (they told me the radar said it was supposed to stop in a couple of hours and I was welcome to wait) the course was unwalkable and completely waterlogged. It's not Bloomington Downs' fault that it was the worst and wettest July on record but there are dozens of other courses out there that would have done the right thing and let me come back another time. Not because the were obligated to...but because it was the right thing to do. I give their customer service and appreciation a zero and I'll take my 50 rounds a season business elsewhere.
