PACE OF PLAY
Pace of Play was rather slow - but understandably. As group ahead were 4 balls while my group was 2 balls.
A little disappointing
I have played this course before and I must say the conditions were not ideal. Tee boxes are domed… Greens need some work plus half the greens recently aerated. Seems a little early to do so. It would have been nice to know before booking. Plenty of divots due to lazy golfers. IMO 5/10
Bad Conditions
Too many negatives to mention the only positive is, it’s close to the city of you than that. Very disappointing.
Course is fair with some nice challenging holes..
For the price to play (fairly expensive), not sure why the tees on the 16th hole are carpeted when there is grass areas in front and at the rear of the carpeted area! The area is also exposed to the sun; so it’s a mystery to me!
It’s a fairly decent course otherwise!
tee box green was just full of sand
Couldn't even tell whether some yellow tee box greens were actually can play. Way too many divots that was just pile of sand.. we felt like we were playing at a top of mountain tip.
The Golf Course is Mehh
The golf course is under construction and the value for money is not there anymore.
Decent course
First time playing Richmond Hill. It was an interesting layout with a pretty good variety of holes. It was a pretty short course, but a few holes where the holes played longer than the distance.
Overall, it was reasonable for the price, though we got a "hot now" discount. At the full rate, I would go to a number of other courses in the area.
Fun & challenging!
One of the BEST public courses to play! It’s fun and challenging at the same time. Staff are amazing!!!
Sardine course
This was my first time at Richmond Hill GC, but it’ll also be my last. They pack as many people on there as possible, making the twilight pace of play unbearable. In front of my group was a five-some of high school boys, followed by a group of six (!) that included two kids under the age of 10. When we got to the first hole, the starter told us to skip ahead to No. 3. That’s not how a legitimate golf course should handle its business.
Great fairways
End of a busy day I’m sure, greens showing traffic. But being a bit soft and well watered that is expected.
