Nice Course
Nice course for first time,, should have booked here before,, holes are laid out nicely with some challenges but forgiving enough to use clubs you rarely use and lose balls on other courses if used
Great value
course is always in great shape. Practice area is very nice with plenty of room. Staff very frenidly. You wont be disappointed.
very forgiving as each hole is wide,
had a great game here due to a wide course, also not to much water so it worked for me. Staff were very accommodating, ,The pace was great, and the course in good condition Had a great morning at this course
Great Walkable 18!
Sam Young has done a great job with this course! The recent upgrade to the club house is incredible. Excellent staff and wonderful course! One of the best in the region--great for all golfers with wonderful teaching/camp components.
Great value for money
Course plays well, many fairways a bit bumpy, green on hole 3 pin placement aweful as groundskeepers picked the poorest area of the large green with all sorts of bumpy, thatchy, unreadable areas surrounding the hole! No marshals ever! Always seem to be a bunch of loud mouthed hackers on the course that have too much to drink, swearing their fool heads off, slowing down play. The odd marshal appearance might improve things! Otherwise, a fun round.
Great country course
Was a great experience for the first time. The staff were great. Shot a bucket of balls to warm up, went to the first tee and a foursome let us go ahead of them. The course was in awesome shape, and well groomed. We ordered food to go and they brought it out to us when were were on the 11th hole. Well worth the price we paid. And the weather for the day turned out spectacular for an afternoon round of golf.
Good course. Enjoyed the day
We were greeted cordially by the staff. They sent us to the back nine which was wide open. Played in two hours. The front nine was a little busier but moved well. Played in two hours plus. They had aerated and sanded half of the green but we were able to move balls to the underrated half to play the game. Good game. Great day.
Attitudes Need to Change!
Not a review but more of an observation. I use hot deals on this course as its a bit of a drive to make it worth it. Normally greeted and thanked for printing off my conf.. This time a different person, (appeared and acted like some sort of manager) looked at me and saw the piece of paper and just said "Hot deal eh" . I said, "Yes" and waited for serveral other players. I get to the front of the line and he motioned for a trainee to take the paper from me like it was the plague I was giving them! No, "Have a good round" comment as I usually get, just an glare of disgust! I understand why they may not like the hot deals but I find more courses are not liking them one bit! Decent track though...
Walkable, wide fairways and very forgiving if you miss them.
Enjoyable course that's not too difficult to play, so good for beginners.
Very walkable with tees right next to greens. Not exactly flat, but not hilly either.
Don't forget to bring your own pull cart if you plan to walk as the the charge for a pull cart there is the highest I've ever seen. Might as well rent a power for what they charge to rent a pull cart. Completely out of line - and I ended up with a bum one as well lol
I like Shelburne G & CC
Played there several times. The course is in great condition, The variety of holes is very good and the value is certainly there. With all the pricey courses in the area, Shelburne is a bonus for sure.
The staff is always friendly and the round is usually within four hours.
The girl starting us was pleasant and very helpful when we arrived.
Our first nine was slow due to starter golfers playing the blue tees. On arriving at the tenth tee the group ahead invited us to play through as we were a twosome and they were four but another threesome who were just starting went ahead of us and it was very slow the rest of the way. No complaints with the course!
staff is totally unprofessional
This course is run by family members and they treat you with disrespect
They charge $24 for a cart for a single person
and do not allow any extra baggage on the cart unless you pay for it
Absolutely no Marshaling thus resulting in a very slow play
You can play a much better course for a lot less money
Quiet course to Enjoy!
Wide open fairways lend to our style of play. The par 3's are fun and we enjoyed them. Playing on a Thursday afternoon, there were not a lot of players and our pace was never interrupted. We will return to play another time.
Highly recommend
The course is in great shape and well maintained. Staff friendly and knowledgeable to deal with. Flexible with tee time due to weather delay.
Far but worth
It is quite far but worth the drive. The course is over 4k and very spacious. The view of rolling hills are beautiful with super friendly staff. Will come back for sure.
Can't wait to come back!!
Absolutely a top notch course. Even had a chat and got some help from Hall of Famer and Club member Sam Young. Beauty of a course and loved every hole. Very forgiving if you hook or slice. Loved it.
Enjoy playing Shelburne for its pristine fairways and greens.
Shelburne is a fun course. Seems easy and flat but can lull you into a lack of concentration thus eating you up easily if not careful. More yardage markers and clarity/accuracy would be helpful. Staff are always friendly consistent with the friendliness of Shelburne. Thanks Golf Now for great rate!
Course condition and pace of play meant a happy Canada day
The course was in good condition, all greens were consistent and the pace of play was great for the long weekend Monday. The staff was friendly and Amber on the beverage cart was extremely pleasant and helpful. Led to a great long weekend round.
Marshall needed on the course
The course was very slow, there was a number of foursomes in front of us holding up the entire course, we had two women behind us and they would come and stand when we were hitting, chatting and laughing, very rude. We could not let them play through as it was jammed in front of us. Don't understand why no marshalls on the course. It took us 5 1/2 hours to play.
