Courses are very narrow, almost half of the courses are par 3, and lots of hills. I mean after 9 holes, it was all up hills and down hills. Good courses but very challenging. (One of the couple were very rude, that got into my head, ruin my game, but that's just me lol).
If you like challenge, go ahead. You will love it.
Narrow and a little challenging
Farways are Narrow and a little challenging, greens are in great condition
Great day with my son
You could not beat the value for this round of golf, course was in great shape and the greens fast. The terrain is hilly but scenic and challenging for most players. We will be back for sure.
A great day at River Valley
The course is in very good shape. A real challenge on some of the holes. Keep it straight or big trouble.
Nice short course; mostly par 3s and short par 4s. Some narrow fairways (and one that the ball rolls down 100 yards! and some very difficult unfair greens where the ball CANNOT stop where the flag positions were and would roll away 15 feet or more! Nice day though.
A hilly course, so I would suggest to take the carts. Fun course with lots of ups and downs. Fairly forgiving front nine with a tighter feel to the back nine. Staff was friendly and courteous. Very relaxed feel.
Tight Challenging Fun Course!
Always a pleasure to play. Challenges you at every hole. Can play quickly with a cart (3 hours). Very reasonable rates.,
Course was in excellent condition. Greens very big/large and were in great condition. While course is a bit short , from back tees it offers more than enough challenge given its topography-lots of uphill shots which adds yardage as litte roll is produced. Lots of target golf shots off tee shots. Beautiful course to the eye. Front desk staff VERY friendly.Cart a must to play this course unless you are a 20 year old wrestler.
Up and Down
Course is in great shape. Narrow tree-lined fairways with many steep elevation carries. Not for the faint of heart. Cart is a must!
Fun but Difficult
This course was a lot more challenging than what I thought it was going to be.
The elevation change is tough gauge what to hit.
Also the gentlemen that lives in the bush off 11 tee was not very pleasant when his house got hit with a golf ball. Didn't even know that there was a shed there.
We will definitely be back.
Good value. The course is pretty short but plays longer due to the hills. The course was in good shape the only issues I had was with the one tee block being not level and the greens played at different speeds depending on their elevation.
A very short course with mostly par 3's The greens and fairways were very good but the rough was long enough to make finding balls a challenge I will play here again.
Marshall Needs To Enforce Pace Of Play Rules
Nice course but some hopelessly slow golfers ahead of us on the back nine spoiled the day for us. We did the front nine in 90 minutes and then a foursome got just ahead of us at the tenth and it took us almost twice that time to do the back. The Marshall told us that this foursome teed off two hours before us! They never offered to let us play through. :-(
