Great value
Can’t complain about 25$ with cart for 18 holes. Great course just to get out and they have 2 courses. No bunkers and no water though. Very easy course, it’s wide open. You could slice it 2 holes over and still have a shot to get to green.
Thursday morning golg
The course was in good shape. The greens are small and you need to roll the ball up to them. Very difficult to stick a ball on them as they are hard. Play them blue tees for a better experience as this lengthens the course some. Just had a coffee when we were there. Try he carts wee wet and we wipedd down our own cart. It was an okay experience. Glad I played the course, now on to others.
Great time
We played the highland course. Course was in excellent condition. No one in front, no one behind us. Great weather. Excellent.
Glad to hear you had an enjoyable round! It's always fun to play when it's a beautiful day out!
Good for a variety shots
We played the highlands course, which is a course with a variety of elevations, long and moderate length hole. greens were not cleared of dew, was difficult for putting.
Thank you for taking time to leave a review! We hope you will come back and see us soon!
Good not great
The course is fine generally good for entry level players. Not a beverage cart to be seen. But I guess that's to be expected at a course of this caliber.
Hi Todd,
First off we just want to thank you for coming out to Oak Hills! We're sorry you were unable to find a beverage cart. We hope you will give us another chance!
Oak Hills
Not great conditions but cheep. Good for beginners and kids.
Thanks for stopping by and playing a round at Oak Hills! We hope to see you out on the greens sometime soon!
Not so bad of a course!
Reading the reviews about this course made us hesitant of playing here but with the discount from GolfNow changed our thoughts. Fairways were OK ...didn't even lose a ball on the fairways. Cart paths were a little rugged but that's OK! Greens weren't bad at all ...a little dried out in some areas.
If you're looking for well manicured then this might not be the place. If you're looking for a course to have a somewhat challenging friendly game then this is the place.
Oak Hills, we'll be back!!
Printguy,
We're glad to hear that you gave our course a chance! We're looking forward to seeing you back in the near future!
Great deal!!!!
We scored the course on Golf Now for only $11.99 each with a cart!!! After tax and fees it was under $30 for two people. You can barely mini golf for that!!!!
Tracey,
Thanks for stopping by the course. We're glad to hear the course provided value and that you enjoyed yourself. Come back and see us sometime again soon!
Sunjac
This is my fist timre playing this course.
Since there are two courses here, i found the layout
in the first three holes confusing. I had to ask another golfer if i was on the right course.
The course is short with some par 4 under 300 ards and too long par 5"s 10 and 11 which I guess they tried to make it look longer on the scorecard. The greens are small, in good shape with some slope.
That can make your approach shot more difficult.
Fairways are in moderate shape with a little to deep first cut of rough.
It did have some interesting holes, narrow fairways and dog legs to give it some challenge. Was not happy with 17 and 18. !8 has very little fairway and right side steep slope or if you hit just a little to the left side, you can actually put it on the 17 green. They do have a protective fence that would only stop low shots.
Generally I still like the course and would play it again
as a hot deal.
Dave,
Thank you for the review. We'll take a look at some of the layout concerns that you addressed. We are constantly looking at ways to improve the course. We hope you do come out and play again!
Conditions OK
Overall Condition of course was OK
Some of the tee areas were very dry
Pro Shop staff were very friendly
Signage could be improved.
I will Play this course again later this year
Overall an enjoyable afternoon.
aliando,
We're excited that you'll be back to play the course! Be sure to let us know when you are in the pro shop. We'll take a look at some of the things you mentioned above and see if we can get that 5 star rating next time. Thanks for the review.
Not great conditions - highlands
Played highlands course and it was very dry and hard for being soo early in the season. Tee blocks in some areas were not even at blocks / plopped in middle of fairway. If it's your first time there isn't much signage to go from hole to hole. I would spend your money elsewhere.
Tyler,
I was just speaking with the general manager of Oak Hills this afternoon and she let me know that the irrigation system for the Highland course is currently broken, this has led to the dry conditions on the course. They have also recently hired a new superintendent, the previous one had left the tee boxes in disarray.
The general manager of Oak Hill's name is Liz Grey, you can reach her at the clubhouse at (613) 396- 2611. Liz would love to offer you another chance to play the course after the tee boxes and irrigation system are back up to standard.
Great Value
I played 18 holes toward the end of a heat wave, so conditions were very dry, and there were a couple "ground under repair" zones, but a great deal. One green fee allows you to play all day, if it was a cool day, you could play 36 different holes. Dry and rolling fairways made it challenging to stick some quick and hard greens.
Cottage course
Fairways and tee decks are in awful shape but the greens are actually pretty good. Poor signage hole to hole and the layout doesn't really guide you around.
Girl in the shop didn't really have a clue.
The cook went home at 2 on a long weekend.
It's a short easy cottage course that pretty much had terrible everything except for the nice greens that were firm and fast.
Good course, accommodating staff.
Arrived early, and was permitted to tee off early, which I appreciated. Friendly staff was accommodating.
Golfed alone as course was not very busy, so enjoyed a leisurely game.
We are glad you played the course as well! Please come out and see us again soon.
