Amberwood Village Golf and Country Club

Played this course for the first time while in Ottawa on business. I never knew that it was open to the public. Great 9 hole course in excellent condition, greens were smooth and rolling very well. I typically play longer courses, but this course was perfect as i hit a variety of clubs from the tees. Awesome Par 3's! And the food in the clubhouse was fantastic.

The course is well maintained and easy to play. The new restaurant is a great improvement and nice to relax around friendly staff. Keep up the great work Amber wood.

If you are interested in a short game pracitce course or a an easier experience for a weaker player then this is the course. While there are some opportunities to use a longer club (for the more advanced player) this course is really for the newer player who is learning the game. Too bad the greens are not in good condition but they may get better with some attention. The greens are slow and bumpy. The fairways are OK but need some rain to soften them up. Attention to weeds will help the overall conditions. The bunkers are particularly good for a short course. Pace of play was terrible (2.5hours for 9 holes) but that may have been because it was a perfect day on a holiday weekend with lots of weaker golfers playing.
The staff were very good and freindlt.
The retaurant here is very good.
Overall a good course for novice golfers. Conditions should improve.

Played a quick nine at this old favorite yesterday... fairways and greens in good condition for so early in the season.. bunkers clean and neatly raked... also lots of work going on around the course... eg tees being aerated....A very windy day, but as the old Scotsman said ... if its nae windy, its nae golf... Amberwood looking good and appears to be shaping up for a good season...

Challenging course and a great value, but the excessively slow play of the threesome ahead of us spoiled what should have been a fun afternoon.

Had a very enjoyable round at this executive 9 hole course. No issues at all. Lots of water, but short, so easily played by beginners. Course is edged by bird sanctuary so great for watching birds too!

There are better courses close by for less money. If you can get the green fee for $10 a person it might be worth it

Conditions were really nice. One of the best in the region! Will go back for sure!

Was in excellent shape except we were not told that they were dressing the greens and the flag sticks were in awkward positions.

We found the course conditions excellent--greens well maintained. There is plenty of variety in the layouts of the individual holes, to keep one's game challenged. We did miss the water stations that used to be at hole # 3 and # 5---which I felt were a really nice touch, and well appreciated. Staff was very polite, and we were able to start on time, and generally the play moved along fairly well--a few minor delays ahead, but easily bearable.

I used the GolfNow app to find a deal for 2 players $10 each at Amberwood for 9 holes. I had played there before and enjoy the course. We had a great time, the course was in great condition and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

Decent little 9 hole course, and we'll valued with the Golf Now rate. Just check their on-line booking to ensure it isn't too busy when you play, otherwise will take 2+ hours to play a 75 minute round.

Green are in immaculate shape as well as the fairways. Love this little course to practice iron play and target golf. Perfect for a quick 9 to keep your game sharp. Always faced pace and a nice layout.

first round of year unfortunately, but as usual, a few good shots inspire you to keep plugging away.

Well maintained 9 hole course with quality greens challenging sight lines on each hole... smaller well maintained rolling greens an clean well maintained bunkers protecting all greens softer plush fairways an well maintained with water hazards on every hole ....1 par 5 and 3 par 3 holes . 2nd hole can be played as a par 4 or 5 . Not an easy course an worth the price of the green fee.

The course was pretty good, greens were nice, and everything was well maintained. A very nice 9 hole course; no par 5s, a good way to work on your short game, but still able to drive off some tees.

Love this course ! It is challenging, yet manageable for someone with a higher handicap.
