Great layout, excellent staff; suberb pace of play; crying shame about the greens
Super excited to get onto a Private course to play. Check in was super easy; got off without a hitch and all was going well...until I saw the first green. It was 75% bumpy grass and 25% sand. Foreshadowing of what I was in store for putting wise for the rest of the day...it was such a shame. The layout of the course is very nice, very playable. The tee boxes and fairways are in decent shape but I cannot give a good review to a place with greens that are mostly comprised of sand. I was able to get around in record time. I suspect the conditioning of the greens may have had something to do with this fact.
Fix the greens please and I will be back in a pinch...
Poorly maintained
This was my first visit to Sleepy Hollow. The greens were in a very bad shape. At least 15 of the greens were mainly sand and patches of grass. No one told us that the greens were in such a shape.
This next bout of rain should help those greens!
Like almost all of the courses in the area this year, the greens were beaten up by the drought conditions. I still love this course. Some very pretty holes and enough challenges to question why I think I can play this game As always - Excellent pace of play.
Perfect day.
Great course, The small undulating greens were slow. Could not imagine the breaks on these greens if they were a little bit faster. Do not pass up a chance to play here.
sleepy hollow
had never heard of it before found on golf now, would play it again tomorrow, not overly long but you need a lot of coarse management, lots of water ,enviroment areas and played 18 hole in less than 4 hrs it was a great day

As a first-time player at this private course, I was looking forward to playing at an above-average course with a driving range and adjoining putting green.
First, the pro shop staff were welcoming and the men's locker was clean. While they provide some toiletries for shaving, there was a single and used disposable blade for golfers to use...I think.
When we arrived at the bag drop, no staff (at 9:30 am) were there. However, a door bell and sign stating we should ring it to get someone to take our bag from the bag drop was visible. It worked but unusual client service.
There was/were on-course beverage cart(s) service. Also, a halfway food hut is located off the 9th green.
In general, the golf course is in average condition. Many of the greens look like there was minimal grass care with clover hiding in the greens. No idea when the greens were cut. There are a number of bunkers being reframed and rebuilt. Fairways need to be watered more frequently. A sure indication how good a restaurant is, is by viewing the washroom and its maintenance. The same could be said of golf courses and their driving range. The grass was at best, greenish-brown.
The course has some challenging holes with water hazards and native-grass areas. Also, the course is designed to minimize travelling time between holes.
Not sure what benefits there are for the members but as a guest, I would play many of the above-average GolfNow courses before playing at Sleepy Hollow.
