Day was great
Course condition greens were all pretty good
Great Day
The course was in great shape. I will definitely be back. Pace of play was slow. Not the courses fault.
Firm and Fast Greens
While the course is not too difficult, the greens make up for it. The greens were firm and fast. There are plenty of breaks that don't show up until you are watching your ball trickle across most of the green. The sand in the bunkers is very fine grained. There is plenty of roll on the fairways.
It was a fun day and a course worth going back to.
Nice Course`
The course was nice. Staff was friendly. We were a little surprised that there wasn't a frost delay...overall had a great time and would play again if we are in town again
Slopes will get you!
Played boundary oak for $21 walking...steal of a deal...shot from the white tee, slope 126, still played tough...fairways where a bit long for my liking but the greens were in great shape and played moderate to difficult. Would definitely play here again...
tlc on fairways
Gem in the rough, nice to have a course in this condition so close to home.
Greens in great shape, the fairways can use some tlc, bit overall a good value.
Great Greens; Poor pace of Play
Played Boundary Oaks on Sunday Oct 26 from the Blue tees. The course was in very good shape, and as usual, the star of the course is the greens.
Played early in the morning, and thought things would move along, but our foursome got stuck behind a very slow foursome. Nearly 5 hours. As we waited in the fairway for the group to clear the 16 green, we saw the group in front of them walking up the fairway....on 18. We called the pro shop and they sent the marshall out....and we saw him drive by without saying a word. Poor pace of play ruined an otherwise nice day.
What a treasure!!
Great course layout for many levels. Condition is good considering drought conditions. Well managed, so even a slow play day is at/around 4.5 hours.. Greens are sneaky - were faster than they looked and the putts that look like they break, don't. And, the ones that look straight, break. If you are a bomber, then this course is for you! Played from the tips and felt it the day after (which I love!).
Solid Course for the Money
Good course for the money. I am a hacker..so there is no need to spend more than $50 for the round.
The course is overall in good condition for California being in a drought. Some dry spots..but nothing that will bother you too bad.
Recently, it took our foursome about 4 hours for the rounds.
Great course
Conditions were great and pace of play was excellent
Tough greens
The course seemed a little over watered. The greens were fast & unpredictable making it a challenge. The staff were very friendly defiantly coming back.
Be wary
Good conditions, friendly staff...big concern is no dress code. We noticed lots of guys in jeans or similar at start. We were with 2 nice guys in cut off tank tops and jeans. Nice but no clue about etiquette so talking incessantly. Not ready to play. Hit into other players. Replayed too many times. Ruins your day + others too. Until this course which puts itself forward as nice, ensures good times for GOLFERS, don't go.
6 hour round?
We left the course on the 15 hole. Waited on every hole. They have Marshall's that do not enforce "speed of play"
Twilight round
We were able to finish 16 holes; started at 6:07 PM.
Course is in good condition; greens were fast!
very decent public course
very interesting layout, especially like hole #3 , overall cource condition good, the day we played was very hot other place, but we felt very comfortable with a little breeze. worth to come and play again.
Great course for your money
Good value, clean, maintained. Challenging greens.
Nice
Everything was good. It was a little windy but that was expected. Pace was good and we weren't playing slow bu the marshal told us to play ready golf. I guess he figured that we were holding people up, even though we didn't have any where to go. Regardless I like the course and I will play again. Not for 60 dollars but 32 or something around that price range.
Beautiful Course
Beautiful course, but watch out for the tricky/deceiving greens!
