Pine Trees
Played here numerous times over the years. Lots of pine trees that is reminiscence of Northern Michigan. Good mix of holes. A couple are up and down-- elevation.
Accuracy is important.
First hole requires a straight shot with water on the left and tall pine trees on the right. Have played there many times over the years and continue to enjoy. Has some interesting holes that require club selection. Lots of pine trees reminiscent of courses I have played in Michigan.
Swell round
Great day
Hey,
I got 2 pars
And a bunch of bogies
IM HAPPY
Relaxing & Scenic Golf Course
Great day on a unique course. I had not been back to this course for 20 years. I did not enjoy it back then but our experience today will bring us back.
The groundskeeper has improved the layout. I imagine that the course no longer being a ski hill helped. The Tee-Off areas were good to acceptable for this late in the season. The fairways were very playable and nicely lined with trees. Many holes were doglegs left with high tree stands at the corners protecting golfers in the area of the greens. Par 3’s were a challenge & the greens had deceptive speed. Greens rolled well. Friendly staff in the pro shop & in the clubhouse area after.
Interesting course to play
The greens were good. The Fairways were average and the tees were poor.I still would recommend playing this course because of the greens.
Wow
Great course to play. Course conditions were spectacular, compliments to the Ground's Crew. Proshop staff was so friendly and accommodating. Played here a few times and it has always been a great time. Food was great too!
A Hidden Gem!
Wow. What an amazing day. The greens are in excellent shape and are rolling quick and true. Tee boxes and fairways were in great shape. Pace of play was good. It seems there are a couple projects (the 18th tee and some tree work), on going. A not so difficult course perfect for any skill level. Looking forward to playing this GolfNorth course again!
beautiful course
I was very impressed with the beauty of this course. I liked the layout and grounds were excellent.
Try it
Lots of positive improvements under Golf North admin. Greens as good as some local private courses. Big greens. Â few tee boxes can be improved on their general condition.
Wet spring conditions
With this cool wet spring so far as made the course very wet and muddy to play. The fairway grass is long, since they can not get out with equipment to cut. Any shot would plug in the ground, no bounces today. It is a fun course to play and I advise players to come out and play it just needs time to dry out.
While we were playing they were aerating the greens so there was some holes we couldn't finish,we were not impressed
