Tangle Creek Golf & Country Club

I was surprised at the challenge of the course. I was teamed with two members who were friendly and helpful with tips.
It was late in the year however þhr course was in excellent condition.

With the combination of Green and White Tees the course is playable for seniors by eliminating the very long carries over hazards. A very challenging and playable for all.

Conditions were very good. Staff in Pro Shop very friendly.

Greens can be very tricky with many undulations.

Make sure you select the correct tee box to ensure you have an enjoyable round of golf.

We enjoyed this course..was in great shapebut greens were pretty difficult because of undulations.

This was the first time playing this course, I would recommend it to anyone. Had a fantastic day, play was slow but that was okay because the views were fantastic. Course is difficult with lots of holes that needed quite a bit of carry. Would definitely play again.

Walked in not quite knowing what to expect; check in was quick and easy; we were off right on time.
From the very first tee shot you get the feeling that you will be playing a real treat of a course...nice elevation changes; challenging carries; undulating greens that putt oh so true...I cannot say enough about this place. It is a real pretty course; rugged yet playable...as a bonus we got to see a wild turkey making his rounds...

showed up early as a single, and they got me out early which I appreciated. Unfortunately it was still behind the club championship and a bachelor party group of 15 and only a few were accomplished enough golfers for this track. Second time this year I've followed such a group and they find it amusing to litter the course with campfire marshmallows and making pace of play almost unbearable. Might want to consider having a few rangers on your course during these events. Besides that, the 2 lady members I joined up with were lovely and I very much enjoyed everything about the golf course itself. Fun layout and the GPS carts are a big help.

Even through this years drought. Lush beautiful fairways and greens. Can't wait to play it again

Very challenging the first time around if you're not used to the extreme slopes and elevation changes. Greens are nice and big, but the speeds take time to adjust to. Local knowledge from tee to green a huge factor in scoring, too.

This is one of my favourite courses. The layout is challenging and the different elevations make it fun. The course is in great condition. The staff is friendly and helpful. The restaurant has good food and reasonable prices.

Excellent course layout, starter was pleasant and informative for a first time golfer at this course. Course was in great shape given the extreme heat the previous 3 weeks and pace of play was good.
All round experience was excellent.

Played with a member a couple of weeks earlier at a different course, he sold us on Augusta conditions and we got 2015 U.S. Open conditions at Chambers Bay (he also said he was a 7 handicapper who couldn't break 90 on a shorter tree lined course). Greens looked camouflaged but putted much better than they looked, slower than expected with all the undulations. Drive up and look at the lay up area on #7, driver, wedge, 8 iron for me to reach this par 5. GPS has lots of info on it so be sure to use it. Staff were very helpful and friendly. This course would be a tough walk.

First time at Tangle Creek and played with members who were very helpful. Course knowledge is important to scoring well.

Very challenging and undulating greens but playable and fun.

This is a nice golf course. But one thing that really annoys me is when they nickel and dime you for range balls. $12 for a large bag. Put the cost of range balls in the up front cost.

Arrived on site for our early morning tee time, I need some time to loosen up. Pro Shop was not open to get range balls until 7 am. After a really quick range session (20 min), the round started. Course layout was nice, pace of play was slow at first but picked up. Fairways and greens are groomed well.

The only negative was the bunkers had hardly any sand in them. The were hard as a rock!

Tangle Creek is scenic, peaceful and a tough test of golf. Pars are getable but make a bad shot and watch out for hockey sticks and snowmen.

The greens have suffered some sort of attack and are looking patchy, almost camouflage coloured. It's still early in the season but they're running slower than I remember too, might be due to repair efforts. I'm sure this will be fixed in time.

Staff are excellent, starter was friendly but dutiful which kept the pace going, many clubs could learn from him. Halfway house wasn't open for the season yet which was okay but it did slow the turn down a little.

With a GolfNow hot deal this was an excellent value.

Overall a good course but had some funny design elements mixed in such as rough in lay up areas and awkward landing areas for good drives. If you played the course a few times you would get to know these things and just avoid them but they shouldn't be there.
