Tangle Creek Golf & Country Club

Love playing here minus being paired with two others when we were never told we were being paired up until tee off. Really slowed the round down.

It has been 4 years since I have played this course and the new owners have really improved this facility.
The fairways were great and the greens were a joy to putt on.
Played 18 holes in 3 1/2 hours with my wife. Now that’s enjoyable.
I will definitely be back.

The course was in great shape the greens were a bit fast but manageable hardly any wind made for a great round.

THis is a beautiful course, however, the experience was the worst in all my many years of golfing !
Extremely frustrating day in really hot weather. We tee'd off at 1:15pm at which time we were told we were following a tournament, not good. There were a couple of 4-somes ahead of us too. To cut a long frustrating story short, we quit the course after 4 hours having only played 12 holes !!! Brutal wait times on the Tee's and during play whilst melting in the sun. Then after, to add insult to injury, I had to wait over 5 mins for the pro-shop young man to finish his personal phone call...he kept telling me, "just a minute" . What really got to me was that we were not offered one appology, or even a cold drink as a good will gesture. Miserable day...I would advise anyone booking to ask if there is a tourney that day !

Enjoyed my first time playing this course. Good condition considering the extreme heat and dryness we are experiencing.

Beautiful course built in rolling hills. Course conditions were very good.
But I may not hurry back as I find the massive undulating greens are way over designed with common two+ feet mounds in the green.

For context I’m a low handicapper who enjoys courses like the Pulpit, Redcrest, Bond Head (south)
Cherry Downs, St. Andrews etc you get the picture

The staff at Tangle Creek are as good as any at any club in the area. Always a smile on their faces and willing to do anything to make your golfing experience the best possible.
The course layout is very challenging with conditions excellent. The greens are large and allow for three tiers and three distinct hole locations. Your putting better be up to the challenge.
Still me favorite course throughout this entire region!

Pace was slow although it was Saturday afternoon so to be expected

From staff friendliness to Course layout to Course condition, Tangle Creek meets every need possible. A beautifully manicured course allows great lies to make shots. Bunkers well placed and groomed properly allow you to make recoveries if you need and huge greens in great shape tax your putting skills in every way.
The best value and best conditioned course I've played in this region of the province.

Enjoyed the challenge of this course. Conditions were good. Rating for pace of play is lower because we followed a tournament.
The cart we had kept locking on us saying we were in a restricted area when we were in the middle of the fairway. There were 2 others carts in our foursome ( 2 people behind us quit because of slow play so the other golfer joined us) and their carts did not beep or lock on them. The GPS kept coming up with messages that we were slow and we might be asked to skip a hole. We could not go any faster because there was a group ahead of us that was also held up by the tournament. We did not complain about this to the pro shop at the end of the road as we just wanted to get home.

I play here regularly it’s my favourite course in Barrie and getting a round in for $36 with cart on the weekend before 2:00pm was a steal I couldn’t pass up even with rain in the forecast. It didn’t rain at all got round in a fast 2/12 hours and shot my best score to date at Tangle. Playing again 2 days later on Victoria day!!

We were 30. Minutes behind pace but the Marshall was no where to be found. I could not believe that no one cared enough to move the people that were holding up the rest of the course. The course had many areas that were under casual water.
