Woodington Lake Golf Club - Legacy Course

Course in great condition. Unfortunately, front nine was slow as there was no marshall and foursome ahead of us was painfully slow and they were at least two holes behind anybody else. Ultimately we passed them on the eighth hole and went straight to 10 and after that, played the back nine in under 90 minutes. Course was in great shape. Wanted to have a beer and a snack afterwards, but the waitress walked by us four times, without paying any attention and after 20 minutes, we gave up and left

Played a round here recently - first time in a while - I really like the Legacy track. This last time the pin placements were awful. On literal hillsides where you’d lose it 20 ft if you were short or long by an inch. Completely destroyed pace of play and a good time.

Well-conditioned course but a few concerns. (1) On #2 the red marker - which is 100 yards out on every other hole - is 125 yards out. Presumably that’s because 100 yards out would be in the water. In that case, don’t have a red marker, don’t screw everyone up by putting it in the wrong place. Lost 2 balls in the water before seeing the 125 plaque beside the red stake. (2) Greens are tricky because they’re large and with lots of different slops on each one. Lots of 3-putts ensue. (3) Quite a bit of water for a supposedly links-style course. (4) On a few holes it’s not clear where you’re going, even on the 2nd shot. Look carefully at the picture by the tee, or an electronic aid with a picture of the hole.

When we get to hole 8 green, there was 9 people on the green. We called proshop and someone came to assist. However, all they are telling us is they paid the money so there is nothing they can do about it. We pass the 9th hole, but the two groups passing us again and play. If you read the golf course review, you will see that this is not first time. Course are good, that was the only reason why I went back but not any more.

The course is always in great shape and the staff is very friendly love playing there we will be back.

Slow pace and more than 5.5 hours. Didn’t see one marshal.

Course was with it when it was around $100. Now $150. No longer worth it

The Legacy is a nod to the past but also is maintained in an old way - not much variation or fun especially compared to the Legend.

Great course layout with a few doglegs both right and left to challenge a player.. favourite hoke is the par 3 8th hoke over the water. My only negative feedback was golf carts were way too slowi...

It’s a fair cart ride out to the Legacy course, but once there was well worth the ride. Conditions were fantastic. Tee boxes were level and in great shape
The greens were impressive and fair. The fairways were green green green.
With 5 tee decks there are options for everybody.
Definitely playing again but not before we play the Legend course.
The 18th into the clubhouse is stunning visually
