Very early in the season, so can't expect it to be super conditions yet.
Course was over packed and pace of play was slow (5 hours)
In another few weeks the course will be perfect.
Will return then
Bring back breakfast service…
Course condition is improving however, Scrambles (on-site restaurant) should re-open for breakfast as it had done so successfully for the past several years. It used to be the best, most popular place for breakfast in town.
Communication
Online it says that the course was still open, I then drove 40 mins until I arrived and they said course could not be played because weather conditions
Course Closed - No notice of cancellation
This is the first time I’ve ever reviewed a course on golf now, but I thought it was necessary to write in.
This course was closed when I arrived for my 934am tee time due to bad conditions, but was reopening the following day. I’m not upset about the course being closed because it was questionable. I’m upset about the zero attempt to contact the people that had booked times. (The parking lot had quite a few other cars with people that were outside complaining about not being told it was closed.
Anyway, on the way home we stopped in at 4 Seasons golf and country club and they were able to accommodate us to tee off at 10:12am.
I had never played Foxbridge and now I likely never will.
Good fall golf
My wife and I were the only ones on the course with the exception of two other lonesome golfers. The course conditions were the best I've seen in the last three months. The front nine we finished in 90 minutes and we took our time on the North nine finding balls and enjoying the game again. I was eight over for the 18 so for me it was especially good day.
We played the blue tease and the tea boxes were in good shape. The greens were slow but in better condition than 2 months ago some of the fairways had been a rated and I'm looking forward to the course conditions next year, they should be quite good.
I enjoyed Foxbridge Golf and Country Club
Playing this course for the first time was an Adventure! A frost delay set us back an hour but gave us a chance to practice our putts and drives in the practice cages. The course was challenging to say the least. I would definitely come back to see this picturesque course when the weather is warmer.
Play the front nine!
This is a good course to play and walk nine holes - but be sure to be on the front nine. The back nine is a completely different course - very hilly, very challenging, difficult to walk, and the walk from #9 to #10 is 20 minutes at least.
A nice course
Last min decision based on availability due to a great extended weather. The starter was friendly and knowledgable as gave information on the course layout. The greens are not well maintained and the fairways are not 100%. I think it is a good value for money and I might consider it again. The restaurant due to Covid was not having the best of stock but acceptable. Wish them the best.
if you are playing this course it is better to cart
Cheap in price and condition
The worst fairways and greens I've have seen ever. If you want cheap, this is the course for you. They did not have any pull carts available so we had to pay for a cart and it turned out that was the best decisions since walking from the 9th hole to the 10th world have taken at least 15 minutes. Pace was fast, no beer cart and we had to stop at the club house to use the washrooms.
Glorious early Summer like weather today!
What a great day today at Foxbridge! Shorts weather in November - awesome! Course layout is nice and while greens, fairways and rough could use a little more TLC we had a blast. Green fees are super reasonable and the clubhouse, patio, food and staff awesome.
Downhill Trajectory
I used to play this course regularly several years ago before they sold off part of the course and redesigned it. At that time for the money this course was a great value. It appears the course has been sold to new owners because it is currently is in horrendous condition. You need to move your ball on the fairways to try to find a spot were there is actual grass. I only golfed here because it was a beautiful fall day and every other course was fully booked. Don't waste your time playing this course no matter how cheap it is.
Downhill slope
played this course. previously and enjoyed it, however, it is in terrible condition from tee box to green
First time playing, definitely will be back.
My first time at this course, I personally felt it catered well to my skill level. A good variety of hole lengths and some breaks on the greens.
First 9 enjoyable
The first 9 were fairly enjoyable but many areas on the fairways are bare of grass and nearly unplayable. Some of the tees are in poor shape too. But no one warned us about the ‘walk through the woods’ of at least 20 minutes to get from the 9th green to the 10th tee. The round, including the walk between the South 9 & the north 9 took us over 5 hours. The back 9 conditions were as bad if not worse than the front 9. And very steep hills - a workout for walkers.
