Rivendell Golf Club

Excellent course, friendly staff and in great condition. About 35 minutes or so from downtown Kingston - worth the drive

I have played this course a few times over the years. It is usually in top notch condition. This time I guess due to rain alot of fairways were wet to the point that some shots would plug on the fairway. A couple of holes had alot of heavy grass clippings on parts of the fairways. Again I am sure it was caused by periods of heavy rain prior to the day we golfed. First time i have ever seen this course in this condition. Overall we enjoyed our day very much.

This course is on my top three course within 100 kms from Kingston , friendly staff , economically priced , and knowing the heavy rain recently the course was in great shape , thoroughly enjoyable day of golf .

Enjoyed very much the elevation changes on the back nine. Number 12 is fabulous looking back from the green to the tee box. Water accumulation over last few weeks made it hard to find a "plugged" golf ball in the middle of fairway, otherwise this would have been an even higher rating.

Had a great day golfing with my son. First nine was slow but we didn't mind. Course was very wet but we have had lots of rain this spring.

Booked this as a Hot Deal. Very friendly staff and a great course. Unfortunately the course was very wet following 36 hours of rain. My favourite course to play in the area.

Booked through Golfnow, really like this course, but its a little out of the way for those who live outside Kingston

Thought the course was in good shape considering the winter we had. A little wet but it had been raining quite a bit. Only downside was the sprinklers on the greens we were playing at about 2:30.

The course is in great shape after such a long winter.
Many more people would probably play there more often if it would be closer to Kingston, for example.

We enjoyed playing there a lot, above all, because it was a beautiful day.

There is a good balance between difficulty of the holes and reaching reasonable good results. A fun course to play.

Interesting layout. Near perfect conditions. By far, the best value in the Kingston ON area.

A good course with some challenges for the mid range handicapper. Greens were being sanded so difficult to evaluate condition.

Got a great hot deal..course very challenging.
Each hole has an elevation and/or dogleg.
The wind was with us on#18 and our group all made the water off the tee. I missed the birdie!!! Nonetheless, grat way to finish a round.

One of the most enjoyable and well conditioned courses in the greater Kingston area. Greens were quick and in good shape especially for mid Sept. Friendly staff and great clubhouse. We enjoyed our day at Rivendell and will be back.

Very well maintained course. staff is super! Should have more porta poties for the female golfers (as well as men!) Greens were crazy fast when we went!

Fast greens were in great shape. We walked the course and found some tee boxes quite a distance & uphill from the previous hole. Friendly and courteous staff.

Course is in great shape. A little wet in spots, but it rained the previous night. Staff is always friendly. Decent rates at full price, but great deal on golf now. Worth the trip from kingston

I would recommend this course to anyone .
Don't let the overall course yardage fool you.

Unfortunately the day before we played, a dam had broken and flooded the course. Holes 16 & 17 were closed and #1 was very soggy. The staff were trying their hardest to get things back to normal and even substituted a practice hole for one of the flooded. It will be back to normal soon I'm sure.

Course was very well groomed and offered tempting challenges to shave a few strokes if your shot was accurate, otherwise it would cost you. Both open wide fairways and tighter options abound, a great course to play.

The round at Rivendell was a good time. The course has held up quite well with all of the rain that we have been getting, and there are a few holes that are quite challenging. I will be going back this year.
