What a joke!
Absolutely terrible course. Green conditions were decent but everything else was just terrible. Not a single level tee block on the course. Bunkers had rocks in them and looked like they haven’t been touched by the maintenance crew in over 5 years. No information/map of the holes anywhere on the course. I thought 55 dollars was a bargain and then I realized for the condition it should cost about 15 dollars a round. Will not be coming back or recommending to anyone.
Course is friendly for beginners
Wide fairways, not to long, friendly staff. You will enjoy an above average course. Head to beach afterwards.
Maps for someone that hasn’t played the course would be nice.
Tournament scheduled same time as tee time.
We showed up at 6:50 am for a 7:00 am prepaid tee time. Starters were getting carts ready for a tournament set to start at 8:30. Pro shop door was locked.. No one there could explain what or why. We left and played at at neighbouring course. Hoping to get a full refund from Golfnow.
Good Course, terrible pace of play
During our round we had two separate groups line up shots about 150 yards... extremely dangerous and the Marshall should have caught this. On hole 10 a single golfer was teeing off from the reds while we were no more than 150 yards from him. Course would benefit from banning idiots like that guy from golfing here.
Also, pro shop attendant did not honour my golfnow rate which was 50 dollars cheaper than what he charged me for. I would appreciate compensation for this.
It was a wet front 9. Shorter course, great layout. Greens in great shape and pace.
Very nice course.
Well designed parkland course that places a premium on accuracy and club selection over distance. Greens are in great shape, and the fairways are immaculate. Its built on sand so it dries out faster than any course in the area. As long as its not too busy and your green fee is reasonable, its a great track.
course in excellent shape - 2 greens under repair but other greens in great shape - very quick round - 3 hours walking and following another group. Very friendly staff welcomed us.
A Great Find
This course was a great value. The fairways and greens were in great condition. The course was challenging but fair. It was not long, but the creative layout made it fun. The staff took time to explain the unique features which made the round much more enjoyable. I will play it again when I am back in the area.
EASY COURSE FOR THE GIRLS
Our foursome enjoyed playing golf today at Marlwood. The greens were in good shape. We wanted to have dinner there, but the club closes at 6 pm on Sundays.
Short but challenging course
I enjoyed the undulating greens and challenges of club selection. The course could use a few upgrades such as more ball washers/garbage containers. Beverage service is very limited.
No rain cheque
I would never play this course.
We showed up. Parking lot empty. Obviously it was pouring. When we entered the club house we were told it’s golf now that needs to give us the rain cheque.
That was a lie.
Sandy later emailed saying we needed to be prepared for the weather. Like Noah and the ark.
Excellent course, friendly staff and we’ll kept greens. Highly recommend this course. We played on a Tuesday afternoon and the course was essentially empty!
Great golf day!
I have played this course many times over the years and it is in the best condition that I have ever seen. Particularly the greens that are all in great shape, green and all about the same speed. The bunkers need some work (drainage & additional sand), to ensure they are playable in all conditions.
Thanks Sandy and Tom for a fabulous golf day.
Exceptional Conditions Since last played 2 yrs ago
It has been amazing to watch the conditions improve over that past 3 years, congrats to the new greens keeper,
If I had to make a crtisism, it would be sandtraps, need much more sand
In short, I have played the last 3 days and will be a regular here, at least once a week
Value for money
Great little target golf course, most par fours are around 300 yards but test your accuracy. Greens in great condition and very friendly staff. I’ll go back for sure.
