course needs marshals to control pace, gaps and golfers taking too much time looking for lost balls and holding up the rest of the field.
Lots of potential to be a really good course
Never a good start when the starter greets you with “It’s slow out there. It’s not the first time I’ve heard that but it doesn’t appear to be an issue that the management is interested in addressing. I am all for having fun on the course however it seems that profits from beer are a priority over a reasonable round of golf.
I think the layout is great with lots of challenging holes that is really enjoyable if you can play in less than 5+ hours.
Stay out of the traps
Great driver friendly layout in good condition with the exception of the bunkers. Many have stones and rocks in them now, put a crease in my new wedge. We decided to walk, unless you’re a dedicated hoofer, I recommend carting it. Great value for the money.
Very tight
You must be a straight ball driver on this course. Excellent shape. Course is great. Would recommend to try at least once.
3 hours to cover 9
The course was backed up
It took 3 hours to play 9 holes so our
group left.
I could not get a rain check because I had prepaid
Hot Deal
Grey silo
Very surprised with the course condition this early in the season
Thought it would be more wet than it was
The greens are on the slow side.. but vertually no dead grass or winter damage on them
Applause to the grounds crew.. keep up the good work
Boo to golf north
This course could be the best pull luc course in town.... Except golf north owns it. Later in the year the fairways are so chewd up you can expect to be hitting out of divots all day.
Staff is great, bunker sand is horrendous, greens are quick but no one fixes ball marks.
Frost delay, 3 hours
Frost delay 3 hours, grey silo arranged a round at their sister track, rebel creek, short drive, so the review is for rebel creek, great staff. Great track
Bad starter alignment of golfers
Course is always a joy to play
It was very busy with back to back 4-somes but starter decided to plop a 2-some ahead of us. We ended waiting on every shot.
Overall course in great shape
Slow pace
We have played this course for many years several times each year, however the pace of play at 4.45 min is unacceptable and as well the greens were in poor shape. We would have to think twice on playing this course again.
Course was in great shape
Greens had been aerated a while ago and were pretty much healed over
Staff were friendly and helpful
KW Must play
Looking to play in Kitchener-Waterloo area? Don't miss out on this municipal golf course that runs along the shores of the Grand River. Interesting layout, memorable holes, 4 tee boxes and superior conditioning.
Greens in poor condition
The greens were in very poor condition. The sand was like it was brought in from a local beach with lots of rocks. Golf north has officially ruined many local courses in this region.
The course was in really good condition.
Conditions were good. Finished the round in a relaxed pace in 3 and 1/2 hours.
Pleasurable experience.
