Lost balls
The course was very difficult, if you were not on the fairways, you were in the fescue and would not be able to find your ball.
Fescue was over knee high. Greens were not in great shape.
Club house had nothing to eat, no even a chocolate bar.
Great course, newly re-opened
Hunters Pointe has reopened as a golf facility only. The pro shop is open but the restaurant and bar in the clubhouse is not currently open.
The course is in excellent condition for play. Fescue roughs are very tough for finding any errant shots. Sand traps are OK but in some need of attention. Staff is very friendly. Very enjoyable course to play.
Great links. Great golf.
Had to getback out after they had to address the highway issue. The old holes were better but the new holes do not take away from the course. I just wish they would put the finishing touches on their changes. Re-route cart path, form a set of tee boxes and remove old tee boxes.
Over priced.
For November I felt the round should have been much less money. The greens were aerated as well and made for poor putting conditions. I seen the course for $43 in the summer. I believe November prices should be half that.
humungus greens
Couldn't ask for a better day for end of season round.
Course was in good condition and the greens are gigantic. Could use one more/one less club depending on pin placement.
I've only played this course once before, prior to rerouting due to highway expansion. Although starter adivised of changes, the rerouting was somewhat confusing when on the actual holes. Some better signage would definitely help. Play was a little slow. Our foursome let a couple of twosomes play through, but there were more behind us. I think starter/marshalls should have sent them out as foursomes.
Sat on patio in shirt sleeves for apres round beverage (fantastic day for Nov.). Had a great meal in clubhouse following.
Fast playing course
Well-maintained course, excellent pro shop and staff for starts and on-course.
Beautiful views and tee boxes for all level of player.
Overall excellent course and layout.
Course layout changes
Course layout changes to accommodate highway detracts from the layout of hoies 3 and 5.
everything you would expect
Was a terrific day, course in beautiful shape. Great weather, terrific round of golf. Everyone should play this course at least once.
Fabulous Golf
Very challenging Links style course!
Bad layout
The new layout still needs improvement and the bunkers need more attention. Greens were not in the best of conditions
disappointing
We were disappointed with today's round
The gps did not work properly due to the changes to the course
we were told at the 9th hole that we were running 12 minutes behind.
the group in front of us jumped holes and held us up the rest of the day.
not impressed and will not be returning to this course.
What a pleasure
I had the pleasure to play the golf course with some coworkers and we had a fun and great all around day. Course is in great shape, greens were very fast! Course was a bit dry due to heat spell. Looking forward to coming again and playing.
Table top greens
We were welcomed at the course by the starters and checked in very quickly.
The course was in great shape and the new changes were explained to us at the first tee. The greens were very quick. Pace of play was 4 hours and 20 minutes.
Great Day
I booked the tee time the day before, and it suited our need. The day was steamy, but we expected that. We were greeted by the staff, and our day went without a hitch. The course was fun to play and in good shape, and well worth what we paid. My only complaint was the newly renovated holes that we hadn't played before, and they weren't well marked out, since they were blind tee shots The cart paths ware dusty( hated to be the trailing cart) and bumpy and need to be addressed as well. All in all a great day
Excellent course
Loved playing it even though it was an extremely hot day and the pace of play was poor. Tough course, but one can be very creative with shots, especially off the tees. Nice and challenging greens. A true links design. Highly recommend the course to all levels of players. Blues may be brutal on a highly windy day, but not bad when there is no strong wind. Wish they would be not organized with the tee sheets. There were so many twosomes which made the pace slower. Starter was very friendlly and efficient, so were the pro shop staff, cart girl, and the restaurant staff. Will play again for sure.
Great Course despite a drought year
Course was in great shape. Greens ran very true. Staff anxious to please. Brutally hot and sticky the day we were there.
Hunters point
Great course very very challenging
Great staff
nice course but
I had played this course about 5 years ago when is was lock ness. Liked it a little better then. They changed 2 holes that i feel now are silly. The 9th and 18th are as nice and as challenging as you will find in a finish to a golf course. fun day
Different Course
I have played this course several time since it was originally called Loch Ness Links as my daughter went to school in the area.
This front nine of this course has changed because of an expansion of the near by highway. It now has a very choppy feel to it that did not sit well with me.
On one hole you are forced to walk back towards on-coming golfers when you are exiting the green. The next tee deck is so near that it's only going to be a matter of time before someone gets hit.
The back nine has more of a flow to it and is a much better layout.
One constant, front and back, is the amount of gravel in the traps. The penalty for being in the sand is the strokes lost not damaging irons by hitting stones.
Hello Stew, thanks for the review and recommending our course. We hope to see you back out soon!
