Played with joy
I played with my friend and enjoyed the green with good weather. The course was not busy and hurried on Monday.
had a great time
Was 4 over on the front nine. Got paired up with a couple of young guns, we had a great time! Friendly staff, and the ranger was out and about making sure things moved well. Ended up with an 84, had a couple of double boggies on the back.
Great course
One of my favorite 9 hole courses around Woodstock area. Challenging yet forgiving.
rough ride
-Greens and fairways were not in too bad shape.
-first nine pace of play good - fast, second very bad 2 couples in front of us should have let us play through but didn't.
-the cart paths are terrible and bumpy especially for someone with a bad back.
-the structures, bridges, benches etc. require some much needed attention.
-this course could be absolutely beautiful if maintained better, but when your inside the city limits and are usually busy, why spend money on it.
-played there because of great deals on " Golf now" otherwise would choose another nine hole course.
Flat
You can walk the course fairly easy. Some water to hit over.Alright for the money
Cedar 18 holes
had not played here for 6 years...good price on Golf now had me try it again with a buddy.
having to play a nine holer twice is not really our cup of tea..good beer on tap at the 19th hole.
Nice tricked out holes
Played the course for the 1st time. The 1st 2 holes are relatively "straight" forward, then the fun begins. Nice holes with the Creek winding through. Bring your fishing pole with you.
Fun To Play
For a 9 hole coarse this coarse is fun to play if not busy. It' great for seniors and for me because it is close. It's not a tough coarse to play when you're hitting the ball well. Green's are normally in great shape although had been aerated when I had played.
The staff have alway's treated me well. Wish coarse had 18 holes. Practice green normally in great shape and fun to practice on.If you want a fun 9 holes of golf I recommend you try this coarse.
nice fall round
hadn"t played very often recently...therefore the course played the way my wife and I had anticipated...enjoyable and not overwhelming
Humph
Neagative Point: There was goose feces everywhere!
Positive Point: This course had the best ball cleaners that I have ever used.
Course alert would have been useful
This course was close to where I was staying & appeared to be a good layout but I was disappointed when I arrived only to be told that the greens were currently being cored & sanded. Two greens were totally out of play while 4 others had been cored & sanded with just 3 untouched. At least I was given a further discount on my green fee!
Pace of play was painfully slow as the pair in front had no regard for other players behind them simply dropping a ball & playing again when they hit a bad shot [which was often!]. At one stage I thought I was watching Tin Cup as one of the players tried [unsuccessfully] 5 times to clear a water hazard - they should have taken a drop up near the hazard rather than the 80m back where they splashed the ball the first time.
The layout is interesting & there are some pretty holes with water a feature. A course marshall to keep play moving would certainly help improve the pace of play & I guess I was unlucky to strike the course during renovations.
Pretty 9 hole course
This was teh first time playing and with the Golf Now discount it was worth the drive, it was pretty and the creek that runs through the course added beauty and some challenge, but in general it was an average course.
cedar creek
small short course, good for beginner or ladies. would not go back there, need more of a challenge.
Nice afternoon
We played the course in just three hours. It moves along well and is in decent shape . There are a few greens that are weathered but overall we had a good round .
Good 9 Holes
It was a decent round. Slow play on the back 9 as the people playing 18 and people starting combined.
The course itself played well.
Worth playing
Even though I used a power cart, this is a very easy walking course. Although it has only 9 holes, it has a good variety of holes and lengths - very senior-friendly.
MY opinion
Cedar Creek is a public course of having 9 holes.
I had having twice 9 holes. there is a just one sign board (7th to 8th hole). Everyhole is so easy and plain. I expect to play 18 holes. This golf culb is so far from Kitchener-Waterloo(about 65km), but this club is so close to highway.
Cedar Creek is not bad relatively value for the money.
Good value
The course is very nice. Well kept for the most part. Some issues with cut grass. Though nothing a club can't move. My only issue is. It's a nine hole course you play twice, not really an issue though I would have like to know ahead. The ranger and beverage cart were very nice. Unlike most courses you see the beverage cart more then once a round. The all day breakfast for 4.99 was excellent. One issue I noted was on the 7th hole it's a path and two bridges to get to... No signage signalling where to go... Other then that I'd play again. Heck I'd even stop for breakfast there if I was passing through Woodstock...
great condition, fantastic value.
the course is in super lush shape, and for 40$ with a cart for 18 holes on Canada day from golfnow a great deal
