Discover one of Prince Edward Island’s best “classic” 18-hole golfing values. Enjoy the beautiful coastal views and breezes of the Northumberland Strait while playing this interesting 18-hole layout. Or choose to play 9 holes, the scenic open frontor the challenging coastal back nine.

This beautiful course is a “good walk” in unspoiled Prince Edward Island. The layout of the front nineprovides an opportunity for scoring well. The panoramic coastal holes are different and challenging. This is enjoyable golf.

Glen Afton is located 15 minutes west of Charlottetown and 35 minutes from the Confederation Bridge. Public beaches are located 2 miles from Glen Afton Golf Course.

This is the very best course fronting on the Ocean, views and breezes.

I love this course and I have played it for many years. This is a course which has made use of the natural rolling coastal terrain to creat a variety of holes, each very distinctive and challenging. This is one of the most fun golf courses on Prince Edward Island, a truly great experience to play here.
The superintendent has achieved great results with lots of attention and little use of pesticides. So, we have a little bonus here, this is a very safe place to golf. The fairways are laid out in such a manner that there is little interference of play from adjacent fairways.
The members and guests are on the overly friendy side so if you want to play alone it is best to request that ahead of your tee time. If you haven't been to Scotland to play the coastal courses, save some money, and play Glen Afton Golf Course on Prince Edward Island Island instead.

Farm field on the Ocean

I describe this course as a farm field on the ocean... If you're visiting PEI and looking for a cheap course to play before playing the flagship courses, this could be a good option. The rates are reasonable, but when I played the course was in very poor condition.

The course doesn't seem to cater much to tourists, and focused primarily on the local residents who seem to love playing here.

The course is very open and not much character with the exception of holes 11, 12 & 13 which are closest to the water and offer some beautiful views.

What a Gem!!

Went out for a Sunday afternoon round with some friends. The course was in great shape and the weather cooperated. The rates are very reasonable for PEI and the staff are super friendly. They now have 3 sets of tees so we could all decide how much to challenge ourselves. The greens are always tricky but fair and make putting interesting.... don't underestimate these greens. We will definitely go back this summer. This is a friendly course with a great patio, cold beer, and a nice risk-reward aspect for all levels of player. Can't wait to go back!!
