The Scottish tradition has found a world-class home at The Links At Crowbush Cove. The highly acclaimed course incorporates nine water holes, eight dunes holes and greens built to U.S.G.A. specs - just some of the reasons The Links at Crowbush Cove has earned a five-star rating from Golf Digest and has been chosen to host major tournaments such as the Export-A Skins Game.

An Island Gem !!

Spectacular layout from the first tee to the18th green.
This golf course has everything the avid golfer could wish for. Surrounded by breathtaking ocean views, towering sand dunes, whispering pines, one cant help but inhale the calming sensation of strolling thru a lush Island garden, .adorned with imaculate fairways, undulating greens that are protected by sand bunkers, adjacent ponds and of course the ocean breezes. On a scale of 1- 10, this venue is a 15.

Tough, challenging, with fantastic greens

This course if fantastic. There are no easy holes here. Its a very challenging course, where you don't get away with much, and bad shots are severely punished. However if you are playing well, it is a super fantastic course that you will remember forever. The greens are amazing, with lots of hollows and rises. They can be lightning quick. The best part of Crowbush is that it is extremely walkable. I can't think of a course in Canada that can match the combination of difficulty level and ease of walkability. Pretty much every green to tee is a very short walk. And pretty much you can see the ocean for at least half of your round.

Great course

1st time in the province and this was on everyone’s must play lists. Wasn’t disappointed, a great course. Relatively early in their season and it was in excellent condition from tee to green. Well worth the $$ especially since I paid similar rates to play other courses on the island that weren’t half as good.

Way over rated

Over rated!
Greens in poor shape for the price, driving range a waste of time, a sea of divots. Front nine was nice, back nine good until 16 & 17. It’s like they ran out of room and put in two pitch and putt holes so they could have 18.

But wait, it gets worse, We went to the hotel for dinner, one of the worst meals ever! I had the pork loin. It was so bad I do t know why I didn’t send it back.

Don’t waste your time or money!

Greens were rock hard

The views are great and the course other than the greens were in very good condition. Greens are elevated and rockhard so it’s very difficult to land a ball on the green and keep it on. So then your chip shot requires a very soft touch to keep it on the green. This was very aggrevating to all of us.
Hole 17 is a joke, a short par 3 with the green high above the tee box. All you can see is the flag. All of us hit shots that we thought would be on or near the green, but three balls could not be found.

PEI's Best

I actually played here back in 2012 as part of a PEI/Cape Breton Vacation.
Of the courses I played on PEI, this was the best one. There is diversity as you play through trees, along the coast and in a marshy area. You will find yourself looking at the dunes to the east and wondering what could have been; that area is protected from golf/real estate.
Regardless, the links is misleading, but the course is a lot of fun and does have some quality holes. The course is in great condition. Most people will love the holes near the water, but strategy comes into play on all of them. You might find the short semi-blind uphill par 3 17th to be quirky or fun. The par 3 8th is probably everyone's favorite. The par 5 eleventh needs an epic drive to get over the marsh that acts as Cardinal bunker in 2. This will get mixed reviews. Over all, the golf is very good for players of all handicaps.
As for the resort, that would earn 5 stars. Stay on the property. The restaurant has great food (get the PEI mussels), and the accommodations are top notch. Off the course, the beach area is lovely with the towering dunes looking like they were imported from Ireland, and the water is warm up here. The golf has everything you need for warm up.
As an overall experience, I think you need to stay and play here if on PEI. The golf is really good and that makes it worth the stay.

A Bit Overrated

Vey expensive for what is really a parkland style course set out in the middle of nowhere with only 4 0r 5 truly links styles holes. Apart from that it's a very enjoyable golf course. Some great holes.

One of Canada's best golf experiences

There's a lot of good to great golf on PEI, but Crowbush, simply put, is the main draw. With ocean views as stunning as it gets, a great variety of holes and outstanding conditions, Crowbush is a very memorable experience. My only criticism is there are a couple of holes that are almost impossible for the less skilled golfer. But then again, I don't believe all courses have to all things to everyone. There are many courses in the top 100 that aren't very playable for high handicappers.

Good Not Great

I was a bit underwhelmed by this course. It only really has 5 or 6 holes along the water, the rest have more of a parkland feel. They are very nice parkland holes though! Some spectacular views along the way. After playing a third round I started to like this course. It's challenging, but fair. Fairways are fairly generous, very important to be on the right section of the green with your approach so pick up the pin placement sheet when you check in. They had a very tough winter so right now there is some winter kill showing. Good not great

unbelievable

Easily the best course on PEI, greens were a bit rough a number of years ago, most are now the best I've ever played. ive played at least 50 different courses in Canada.
Fairways are perfect and the views of the Ocean and beaches are amazing!
This course is very difficult, I am a 10 hdcp and set goals to break 90 here.

Cant wait to go back

It was a hit or miss with the weather on this day for us, really windy some holes, little rain for some others, followed by some holes of perfect weather..

Regardless the conditions of the course were amazing. I really enjoyed all of the views too! simply spectacular. As mentioned in a previous review this course is extremely difficult. Don't try to be a hero and play from the big boys tees. Play within yourself.

Some of the holes are very long and difficult and yes, easily the fastest and wildest greens I have ever played also. My golf game has drastically improved since I played there, so I would like to see where I would stand after my 92 in '2012.

But if you love golf with beautiful conditions and a BIG BIG challenge.. this is the place you need to go!

The Links at Crowbush Cove will forever be PEI's top dog

It must have been a very bad experience for anybody to give The Links at Crowbush Cove a two-star rating. No matter how rough of shape or how bad the service, this course will always be one of Canada's best and certainly the premier golf experience on PEI.
Yes, I can see calling it "overrated" compared to price - it is expensive - but that's the going rate of ocean golf these days. I haven't played on PEI since 2006, and I can still vividly recall some of the views from the course. That's the sign of a memorable moment. I've played hundreds of courses since then, but those images are burned in my brain.
The greens were a bit too wild for my tastes, and a couple of holes felt too difficult. Minor annoyances they are on an otherwise fine round of golf.
