Better than i remember
Second time playing here, thus my second review.. Been wanting to get back for a while, but things finally fell into place. Course in 4 hours-ish from Quebec city, so accessibility is tough, but worth the drive if you're in the area.
The fairways were playing firm and fast (a few patches here and there) but hats mostly due to the historically hot summer. Overall the course was in excellent conditions. Greens were very very slow, but very receptive.
The thing I enjoyed that not a lot of courses in this area offer, is choice off of the tee. The layout is so much fun to play, but trouble looms with water and trees. So driving needs to be on point.
Great value, will be back
Really enjoyed this course, looking forward to going back a gain already. Played it with two others.. From the opening tee shot, I really found that this is one of the few courses in the area (Bas St-Laurent, Qc) that you can use most or all of the clubs in your bag. Depending on which tees you choose to play, it will be a fun yet, playable test of golf
I would say that this course could be a little tougher for the beginner golfers. Course is very tight and well guarded with trees. I was struggling with my drives for the front 9, so I always had trees in my way and had to hit a lot of punch runs.. but that's obviously a fault of mine, not the courses.
Bunkers were very dry and not very well kept which was a disappointment, and the tee boxes weren't the sexiest I have ever seen.
Overall a fun course though, like I said, lots of different shots, and hole layouts.
