My wife and I found this course amazing. Its challenging and fun to play. The course is in great shape and the staff are wonderful. I highly recommend this course.
Fun to play
Always enjoy playing here. Staff. In pro shop also great. Wait staff friendly and courtious.
Nice laid back course with just the right amount of difficulty
I really enjoy this course, it's always in pretty good shape, its hilly and has great views, its fairways have lots of trees separating them so you feel somewhat secluded. The staff are laid back and friendly. It's not a rushed day. Great value.
This course is in superb shape
I am a member of a local club but took the opportunity to play Mont Ste. Marie through GolfNow. This course is in the best shape of any of the courses I have played in the Ottawa area so far this year. It is not busy, the staff is fantastic. We had a wonderful time.
Beautiful Mountain , Rolling Hill Setting Golf Experience ! !
Worth the experience, although cart paths leave much to be desired >>> so rough >>>>two ( 2 ) of our 3 PERSON group endured minor back problems as I am ....one of them !
Fairways seemed to be too dry >> a lot of hard ground under tough grass,
Brought a friend up for his birthday to golf & meal after round ,,,,, having looked at their menu on the computer .... got there .... no beverages (bar type) and restaurant facilities available due to not received liquor licence and operational permit ! That was a disappointment ........
Awesome course! Great challenge without being overwhelming. Black flies and deer flies are insane after 5pm so bring bug spray!
Less than an hour from downtown and worth the drive
Mt-Ste-Marie is pretty mountainous on the front nine. From the white tees its over 6200 yards. It was in very decent shape considering the wet spring we had. A lot of elevated greens and tee boxes, uphill blind shots, hidden water hazards, lots of carry so somewhat difficult to pull out the right club. Undulating fast greens guarded by bunkers. You really need to play the course a few times before you can figure out where to lay up to get the yardage right. Some golfers walk the course but I recommend that you cart it and keep your strength to finish as best as you can. I will be back, that's for sure ...
Greens are perfect, tees excellent, fairways lush! Course s in excellent shape! Challenging, picturesque layout, nobody there! A hidden jewel! Well worth the hour drive from Ottawa
Mont Ste. Marie Golf
Great friendly staff, good condition, challenging greens, and a beautiful landscape
highly recommend playing the course
worth the drive
single person staff dis everything and more
This course makes you want to come back
The course was in excellent condition and very challenging. The staff was welcoming and willing to go out of their way to make sure that our golf day was one that made us want to go back soon for another round. The greens and tees, as well as the fairways were well maintained. Overall, this course is well worth the cost of playing it. You are getting good value for your money. I will play it again very soon .
It was well worth the drive to get to the course. Even though it is early in the season it was in very good shape and the greens were excellent. Will definitely go again and because it is in the Gatineau hills it will be splendid in the fall
Deux types de terrain en un
Premier neuf trous très différent du deuxieme et les deux représentent un beau défi
awesome fall golf
A great day at Mont. Ste. Marie. Lovely fall weather, mid 20s, beautiful views, Course in very nice shape for this time of year. Greens recently punched so had an excuse for any missed putts. Managed to avoid any bears on hole # 6, and had a great day.
Very wet after days of rain
Everyone was super friendly at this course. A great introduction to our first time playing there ! ! ! The fairways were extremely wet and it was difficult to advance the ball. The green were in excellent condition. We started out as a pair but joined the twosome in front of us and played in 4.5 hours.
We will try this course again on a drier day as it was a fun layout with interesting challenges.
Most Beautiful Country Course Around
Greens and fairways are impeccable. Most definitely worth the one hour drive from Ottawa. The front nine has a nice variety of challenges.... as an example, par 4 hole #5 where accurate placement is needed to score. The back nine is every bit as interesting but with a slightly less pronounced topography. The view of Irish Creek valley from the back tees of hole #15 looking south is spectacular.
