The name doesn't like

This is (my opinion) the hardest course north of Montreal.
When you get onto the property, be aware that their might be players hitting over the road. The clubhouse offers beautiful views of the mountains. The range is at La Belle which is about a 10 minute drive. Hole 2 and 9 are beasts. They force you to carry immense ditches which might be an issue for shorter hitters. Front nine is target golf. Hole 8 is drivable which is a +. Back side is a big ball park. No funky holes on the back. It's wider and I personally like it more. The views of mont Tremblant and the surrounding mountains are impressive. Carts are mandatory here but you wouldn't want to walk it anyways :) . Must play if you are advanced player

Great Carrick Design

La Bête at Gray Rocks Resort is a great Doug Carrick Design. The front nine has many elevation changes that are picturesque. The back nine from the Blue tees is very challenging, you have to hit the ball in the right spot to have a chance at making par. This is not a walking course. I would have two suggestions to make: 1) The fairway bunkers need to be improved or taken out as they are nothing but clay. 2) As the tees and greens are elevated, you have to be part billy goat. I would suggest that stairs be put in to difficult to reach tees. Otherwise, this course was a joy to play and would play it again and again!

Sorry I referenced the wrong designer. It is a Graham Cooke design. It is a great course!

Good luck attempting to slay this 'beast'

La Bete (which translates from French to "the beast" in English) attacks players with a 6,825-yard modern Graham Cooke design overloaded with mountainous challenges.
It's not my favorite course in Mont-Tremblant. There's simply too many awkward holes that feel shoe-horned into the severe terrain. The second hole, a treacherous and confounding par-4, needs to be redone.
The scenery from the tees at the par-5 11th hole and par-3 15th hole, though, are the reasons golfers make the journey. As long as you don't mind losing a few balls, and shooting a higher score than you're used it, you'll enjoy the day at La Bete.
