Course has great potential but poorly run
The course has really gone downhill this year. They expect you to pay top dollar for a mediocre course! I wonder if the watering source has dried up?? The greens and fairways are really suffering. They cut the grass so short on the fairways its no wonder they dry up...like pavement! Not recommended until they get a better handle on how to run a golf course.
Great course. Terribly run
Nice layout for a golf course. Absolutely horrible run golf course. They have no understanding of how to maintain and run a golf course. As we were playing they were watering the course. I was about to hit a shot when the sprinklers came on and got myself and my cart soaked. They water the greens while you are trying to play. When you complain to the greens keeper about it the reply is ""that's the way we do it here". On multiple occasions we have run into as many as 7 people in a group playing and no one from the course will do anything about it or even care that this is happening.
A great place to spend time with a friend.
This course has a good balance of challenging and less challenging holes. For the most part it was in good condition. Some of the fairways were a bit dry and hard. The greens were in excellent shape. The staff was very courteous and welcoming. Overall an enjoyable time.
The tale of two courses
A front nine that is short with little imagination and simple greens from holes 2-8. Then, the back nine seems to take a completely different form with the exception of hole 10. There were 3 par 4's and one par 5 that needed a mid iron of the tee to avoid hazards and greens that slope and are guarded by numerous bunkers. The front nine warms you up, and the back nine has the potential to destroy you unless you play cautiously.
The club house doesn't have much to offer, but the course is in great shape every round I play.
Been golfing at this golf course for about 30 yrs. The lastest owners don't quite get the golf service industry but made a huge change the last couple years with a new experienced greens keeper. Brad does an amazing job. They hired a new manager with experience - he's doing a better job than the previous manger but could take more ownership on customer service issues. My issue with the course is only a few holes have benches to sit n take a break if you are a walker like myself. I walked 3 out of my 5 rounds this week. Joined a 2 members with their own carts 1 round and rented a cart my 5th round. I mentioned the bench issue to the manager and the owner. Neither seemed to take the complaint seriously. If I didn't use GolfNow and book the hot deals I wouldn't play for 42$ 18 holes with barely any brenches. Realistically 42$ is high for this course. Holes 1 3 8 10 12 16 have benches. Some holes do not have garage cans either. Front nine is forgiving back nine is longer and some difficult holes.
This is an ok course close to Good Spirit Provincial Park. Some of the holes are a little too tight and tree lined but there are some nice holes as well. It's average
Good spirit golf
Coarse is in good shape fairways and greens are in great shape. Make sure you take mosquito repellent.
Enjoyed playing this course. It has beautiful surroundings, and a wonderful course to play.
