Rusted Rail Golf Club
About
Rusted Rail Golf Course, located about half hour or so southeast of Dallas, has a new name and a new look. Formerly known as Creekview Golf Course, the facility was purchased in July 2017, then renamed and renovated. Reopened in August 2018, Rusted Rail unveiled what is essentially a new golf course with renovations on its 36 bunkers, new Champion Bermuda greens, a new irrigation system and vastly improved conditions, including new cart paths and restroom facilities. Designed by Dick Phelps in 1995, the course can play from around 5,800 yards to more than 7,200 yards. The layout features mature oaks lining many of the holes with elevated greens and mounding. The course also has a stream running through the middle of it as well as ponds that come into play on about a half dozen holes. Additionally, the clubhouse has been completely remodeled and expanded to around 17,000 square feet.

Horrible Conditions
This course is in absolutely horrid shape. The fairways are basically like concrete, the cracks in the ground are so large that your ball will literally fall into the ground and disappear. The only good thing was the green was neatly trimmed. Poor, poor conditions and the upkeep on this course is just not there. Thoroughly disappointed and I do not recommend anyone play this course. Not worth the extra savings from GolfNow
Great shape for Summer
Great shape for the summer. Greens were nice. Fair enough for amateurs. New Carts
Improving noticeably
Haven't been to Creekview in some time because of the course conditions vs. Price of play. I was honestly impressed at the improvements mainly in the green improvements! Kudos to the ground crew at cleaning up the rough areas from debris. Now to the traps.
Great value, great greens
I gave this an extra star for value...can't beat their deals on golfnow. The greens are really good, and the fairways, while still below average, are a vast improvement over 2 years ago.
Definitely worth a visit despite the long drive.
This course is fun
Started early and finished early. The course is in good shape for the most part. The greens are very nice. The wind wasn't blowing much for a change and we had a very good round. I can't wait to play it again.
Great course!
I love this place. Only been playing a few months but I've been to 4 or 5 different courses, this is top 3 so far. All around a great place, I hope to play many more times
Great round with friends!
Played with my Son-in-law and a Missionary friend from Thailand. Enjoyed the fellowship and had a decent score in the 70's. First time in a long time.
Greens were in great shape. In a couple of weeks should be in excellent condition. Fairways need attention.
Creekview
Good day went well. The course is getting better for anyone who played it in the past. Still a ways to go but they are headed in the right direction .
Great Value for Casual Golfer
My son and I play this course a couple of times a month. It is a little rough and needs some work, but a good challenge and the local players are pretty laid back. You will see a lot of blue jeans and tennis shoes on the course, but everybody is polite and courteous. The facilities include a driving range and putting/chipping greens.
Course friendly
My golf buddy & I had a great time at Countryview!
We come here frequently and never complain of the course conditions. We recently visited Tenison (overpriced & overrated) and my friend said hes coming back here. From the service desk to at your service mobile concession, the people were super friendly!
Not Consistent Conditions
Some areas were dry others wet. The greens were not consistent but I have played many that were worse.
nice greens
the greens are in good shape. The bunkers are awful. The fairways are not good.
Better!!
if you have stopped playing this course over the last two years like i have then its worth it to give it another shot. The greens are back to the way they were 6-7 years ago. they turn brown but are smooth and quick. greens as well as fairways were not dried out anymore either. in fact i regularly had to clean my ball from the greens and even from the fairway off my tee shots. Its worth it to get back out there.
Best greens in Dallas area.
Our group had a great time playing Creekview GC for the first time. The course is a great test of golf. The staff are very friendly and could not have made me more welcome. WeI played with 2 great guys who play the course often. My wife really enjoyed riding in the cart for the 18 holes and enjoying the nature, lakes and wildlife. Greens are the best Iv played in the Dallas area. Play this course if you get the chance
Great value for the Money
The course being 50 miles from my BlackBerry, I won't play there often, but you can't beat the price. $16 for 18 holes including a cart. Normally cart fees are $15 alone at Dallas Golf courses. The fairways were relatively good, occasionally you hit a brown patch but the greens are a beauty. The greens play somewhat on the fast side and the ball breaks very closely to the read of the green. The course has some nice par 5s over 500 yards and a few shorter par 3s between 130 and 180 yards (white tees). We were able to finish the first 9 in about 90 minutes and the whole course in a bit more than 3 1/2 hours.
great course great value
For $30 bucks you really can't get much better. the greens are really well kept and fast.
This is a challenging course for an intermediate or avid golfer with good greens and a thinking layout. highly recommend it for any level. Also Beautiful scenery.
Course was in bad shape
This course is very poorly maintained. During our entire round we did not see a single grounds person working to improve the poor condition of the course, fairways and traps.
Staff
The staff is awesome and they made me feel very welcomed.
