Marshal was rude. Standing water everywhere. Bunkers were really bad
Too many issues to review. Should cost less for this course in the condition it’s in.
Great for beginners
Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Not too crowded which translates to excellent pace for beginner golfers. Average difficulty and few water hazards. Greens are decent, some t-boxes don’t have much grass. Overall, great course to play anytime except after a rainy day; water stays longer on surface which appears to be due to a already humid soil. I recommend this golf course.
Sprinkler Timers!!!
I really enjoy the layout & pace of this course, but the watering at early morning is annoying. The greens are standing water or sloppy at best. I don’t understand why sprinkler timers coming on before daylight can’t be instituted at this course. If you watered around 3-4am, wouldn’t it soak in a little before 7am tee times? Am I the only player that hates wading water unnecessarily on the greens? Cart paths need some fill in. Carts were in good shape. Pro shop Purvis is always friendly!
Overall a fun track.
This is not an elite course this it is priced fairly. Overall we enjoy it. Great place to take someone who is new etc. Looks like they are really having a problem with wild pigs. They make a mess.
The one complaint I have that hopefully could be addressed is the high school team Was practicing and acted like they opened the place. Looks like they could wave regular players through.
Good Course
Watering course while players are out is not good customer service. Could this be done before course opens for play? Perhaps.
Hog damage is coming back again. Might be time to reduce the herd.
Despite these minor inconsistencies, this course is fun to play. Pro shop worker Mike is always friendly.
Most Greens Horrible
Overall rating is poor because of the greens. It was about a year ago I last played the course. There were greens that had some nutsedge/weeds in the greens but they rolled pretty good. Currenly, the greens especially on the front nine were the worst I have played in many years, the back nine greens are only slightly better - they appeared to be aerated and not rolled (a friend that played a month ago said they were the same, so not recently aerated). Very bumpy and did not roll true at all, some tee boxes were weeds and dirt others were OK. Fringe around some of the greens were crabgrass and other weeds. I was very disappointed, I really like the layout and the course had been in good shape last year. The sand traps are really good, fairways are fair/good, rough has a lot of weeds. Staff is really nice, pace of play was excellent and the price is very good WHEN the course is in good shape. I don't recommend the course until the greens improve (I don't understand why they were not rolled)
Terrible
They had Aerated the greens, Was told back 9 was closed had to play front twice! The greens were Aerated on the front also and play on green was terrible!! Golf now needs away to know this so won’t be put in the position again l!! Will not play there again
Fun Time rough course
I was paired up with a good player we both realised on the second home something was wrong here. Tee boxes with heavy weeds and bare spots. Greens that had more marks than Dunkirk beach after a bombing with bare spots and holes yes holes holding water on the greens. Sorry I could not recommend this course
Very Good Course, Needs Sprinkler Timers
This is my favorite local course. I really like the layout, carts are good, fairways are smooth, greens & cart paths still need extra attention.
My complaint is about watering the course as players are starting play. I don’t understand why the course can’t be watered a few hours before the first scheduled tee time. It makes the fairways & greens too wet and putting very difficult. Maybe some timers would be a good idea? Pro shop worker Purvis was very friendly, as usual.
The course is relaxing and friendly.
I have a great time playing at stonebridge, I enjoy the peacefulness and serenity of this course...
