Making Memories
As we arrived at the course elk were visible near practice facility and number one tee box. Shout out to the friendly staff Ray the starter and the team in the pro shop. We enjoyed a nice meal on the deck after our round. Thanks for a great round!
Fall golf
A challenging course in fantastic shape. A course that is difficult but can still be enjoyed by all levels of golfers. Beautiful scenery and nature to enjoy.
Nice round
We were joined by folks from California and had a fun day. They were impressed as we are by the beautiful views on course also the biggest Elk they’ve seen. Course in great condition!
One of the best!
Course is in great shape. Scenic holes and wildlife usually come by for a visit. Should be on the Canadian top 100 list.
Excellent condition
Course is in great shape from tee to green. One of my favorites!
Wonderful Waskesiu!
Course in absolute fabulous condition! Rate of play excellent! Couldn't have asked for a better day! Thank you
Fantastic condition
The course is in great shape, it’s always a please to think your way around this one. The pins were in tough locations but good times had by all.
Best shape it’s been in years!
There is a reason Stanley Thompson is widely regarded as Canada’s best Golf Architect. It’s evident at Waskesiu this course has few holes that aren’t memorable, with lots of evaluation changes, very few flat lies, and greens that will leave you shaking your head. Always fun and challenging and this year it’s in phenomenal shape. When it matches the conditioning of Elk Ridge which it does this year it is the superior course. The only place it lacks is pace play. But even that can’t ruin a day at Waskesiu.
well known ‘gem’ of a place
great golf holes & good greens - can’t ask for more.
Very nice course but lack of organization! 3 carts should never be allowed to play together
The golf course itself was challenging and nicely kept. We were very disappointed in the way they let people play starting on the 11th hole. Everyone was keeping pace until the pro shop let 3 carts with 5 players start on hole 11. This really threw everyone off. We were so annoyed we called the pro shop to find out why this was allowed. There was a total lack of accountability here. They were allowed to play like this because the pro shop told them to. They did norhing!!! Sorry this was so annoying, we will be going to Elk Ridge after this!!!
Waskesiu G&C
The golf club in a Waskesiu is one of the best kept treasures in Saskatchewan! Rich with History the course is set on a beautiful point with good elevations and perfect greens. Be sure to visit the Clubhouse before or after your round!
Lobstick
in fabulous shape already
fairways & greens all vary good
Always a treat
Great course, they had some early season winter kill apparently but has recovered well. Some pin positions today appeared to have been cut by a non golfer and beginner greens keeper, ragged hole cuts and some that were in poor locations, which make for slow play if you can't get the ball in the hole in a reasonable amount of strokes.
Good thing I went out early!
OURBOOMERLIFE
We met a great couple at the first tee and had a wonderful day at the course. Course conditions, weather and the snack shack at the 10th hole were a all a hit .Elk roaming the course!
Garth Courtney
Play was way to slow. 5 hours and 20 minutes. The posted time for play is 4 hours.
Only seen a Marshall once and he just smiled and drove by while we waited. To my mind he has to be more active and indicate he was attempting at least to speed up play.
When we arrived at the 11th tee, we were the fourth team to tee off.
I do like the course but spending this much time on the course as we did in this round, takes away a lot of the enjoyment.
Course conditions are good except for the greens, way to heavy
