This is a wonderful golf course!
Had an amazing experience playing at Clary Fields. Great course, friendly staff, and an excellent place to play golf!
Great turnaround and gameplay improvements.
I usually play here at Clary once or twice a summer season. This was my first since last year, 2012. I must say that the course has always been frustratingly difficult for my 90 scoring, but they have really cleared out a lot in a year to make it more enjoyable and playable. They have brand new gas golf carts, the employees were very nice. I now can't wait to get my friends to go back out with me and let them see for themselves that it's in great shape.
good course to play
Course was in good condition with the exception of bunkers. Greens were firm and moderately paced. The course was extremely wet due to a lot of rain but very playable.
Very challenging course with great service from the staff, worth every penny to play.
Clary Fields is a very challenging course. Hole #1 gets you off to the toughest hole on the course, so be ready from the get go. If you are hitting the ball well; you can definitely score. If you are not getting off the tee, be prepared for a long day. The customer service from the staff was stellar. I definitely recommend playing this course; it was worth every penny.
Good course, well maintained. Practice green was not useable
The course was in good shape, but the practice green was closed. My wife came along for the ride, but did not play. I had to pay extra for the cart for here to ride. I have used Golf Now for 6 or 7 years and this is the very first time I was asked to pay extra. When I asked why, I was told that I was booked with 3 other players. There was only one car in the parking lot when I arrived. I paid the extra and we went out on our own. I watched to see when the other 3 players arrived. I finally saw a couple of guys on the #1 tee as I was playing down #9 fairway. The lady offered an alternative to my wife riding with me, she suggested that my wife wait in the car until I was done. I won't be back.
Nice course that will test and reward you
Greens were still recovering from aerification but rolled true. Fairways are lush from all the previous rain. Bunkers could use some attention. Only thing I was unhappy about was lack of sand bottles on the carts to repair divots, the course is simply to nice to be subjected to unrepaired divots.
The course was in unbelievable condition
I could not believe the condition right after days of raining. We were able to drive the carts on the course fairways when all the other courses were cart paths only. The fairways were grass covered for this early in the season, I can only imagine how nice it will be in late spring. I have played this course over the past years, but it is in probably the best shape it has ever been in.
Fallen into disrepair
The tee boxes and fairways are full of weeds, the greens are sandy and slow. Not in good shape right now.
very good layout. a little of a workout for the shorter hitters like myself but just makes me think more.
we really enjoy playing this course. the staff is very friendly and asking how things are and if there is anything they can do to help.
fun course to play
Course was fun to play, but a little much to pay for winter time and for the condition of greens. greens are a little bumpy, and just in an ok condition. A good place to work on your placement shots and short game.. i would play again for $20-25 but not more than that..
Excellent value for money!
One of the best layouts around. Course condition has come a long way compared to a few years ago. Greens are smooth, firm and fast. Very serene, natural, links setting. Course has some classic risk reward holes not to mention an excellent set of short holes.
Nice
This course is a nice course. It could be so much more if it were better cared for. The native grasses are becoming weeds more than grass. There are old path ways leading to tee boxes that are being allowed to be grown up rather than remove them or clean them for use. Several trees have been removed from the course over they years, thus removing shade. The GPS on the carts work, but seem to be dated. There are also no ball wash stations on the course because the carts have them attached. I have played twice in the past two months. The ball/club wash attachment on the cart was empty. The greens were in decent shape when playing. The flags on the greens were showing age, many of the flag staffs were cracked and didn't seem to stand up straight.
This course is beautiful but challenging.
Nice challenging course to go to. Beautiful area as well. Just wished they would have more water jugs on the back nine and the back nine was awkward to get to through the parking lot. Awesome course though, definitely recommended.
Good variety of holes.
Course was a bit baked but, hey, it's August in Oklahoma. All in all in pretty good shape. Good value for the money.
This course has superb tee boxes, fairways and greens.
Course maintenance personnel are always out on the course refining and improving the course conditions. Although the greens were recently aireated and sanded, they still were in better shape than most of the other courses in the Tulsa area. A wonderful course to play for both the amature and the professional.
Poorly marked, poorly maintained, very rude staff.
Formerly a great course that has declined sharply in recent years. Most notably, greens with burned spots and poorly cut holes and bunkers overgrown with weeds. My group actually agreed that due to the condition of the bunkers, anyone who ended up in a bunker was entitled to free relief.
Also very irritating was how poorly the course is marked. Previously it wasn't as noticeable as the carts had GPS. However, now that the GPS carts are gone, it is surprising how poorly marked the course is. No 150-yard sticks in the fairways, no yardage marks painted on the cart path. Only the occasional sprinkler head with yardage marked on them. And those seem to be few and far between.
Worst of all however, was the staff. The clubhouse staff was indifferent, though not rude. However, the maintenance staff was almost laughably rude. On multiple occasions they drove their gas-powered maintenance cart right up to us and/or past us while we were standing over the ball. Twice this happened while we were on the tee box with a player addressing the ball. At one point we watched them pull up onto the green and start cutting a new hole and watering while a player was lining up a putt! We mentioned this at the turn to the clubhouse staff, which only seemed to make matters worse as they did most of their drive-by's on the back nine. And they weren't on adjacent holes. They were on the same hole, driving around our carts while players were addressing the ball. Beyond unacceptable.
Sadly, as fun and as challenging as this course can be, I doubt we will be booking another round there.
